or.. it was just so popular that it surpassed their expectations by far.

or, it could be a delay on the RIM.

Not everything is Sprint's fault... as much as everyone likes to blame them, there are always a lot of things that happen behind the scenes that could amount to a delay in new stock.

All of the red Curves have been pulled indefinitely. We had one on order for over a month. Sprint is also refusing to charge back the amounted charged to our credit card.

ya i dont know why they are so eager to charge your card..but then they refuse to put it back on your card. so stupid.

I supposedly purchased a Curve 8330 from "telesales" on Monday, when the girl lied and said they were in stock and would ship next day air that day. Now it's Friday, and still, NO ONE knows when or if they will ever be in stock again. Has anyone heard more about a restocking date?

So after the first curve died, after just 6 days. I sent it back to sprint.... I was called by store and told one was waiting for me.... I get there and low and behold, no curve... I call C.S. and they put me in touch with retentions, I was told they have them and it would be overnighted to me...UPS just drops off the phone now and I was all kinds of happy... I opened box and they sent me a 8830 world edition.... back on the phone and retentions advises still on back order. This has been a complete farce for over a month, now retentions tells me to keep the world edition 8830 until they can send me a curve... this is un-acceptable... what does one do???
all the other carriers left the wifi operational on the curve and have plenty in stock, I need the wifi in the O.R. and was told by tech support I could get a wifi sd cardfor it. I think I have had enough of sprint and the false promises they make, I was happy with them until this fiasco...Any ideas of what to do with this or should I just take all 5 lines of service to another carrier?

When I called Sprint today for about the 100th time, including talking to folks in India, the Phillipines, Canada, and practically all 50 states, I told them I just wanted to cancel my Sprint account. The guy just "advised" me not to do that, but did not even transfer me to retentions. They just don't give a damn if you leave or not. So I wait for another week for my Curve.....?

As of today when I spoke with retentions, they have none and don't know when they are coming.

I actually found TWO Blackberry Curve 8330's in Winston-Salem, NC, so drove 200 miles round trip to bag one!!!! Of course, the idiot in Best Buy did NOT know how to program it correctly, taking three programmings showing on my account now, plus he had me hooked up to Cricket!!! Had to go back.

Anyway, I finally just called and cancelled my order (backorder) from Sprint today (6/23/08) as they have no clue when or if they will ever get any. Local Spring store says mid-July from what they hear.

So my advice: check EVERY Best Buy in your state and see if they happen to have any left.

That is what I heard for in store. I have heard several different things as far as online and telesales orders. None of it means anything until I have a Curve in my hand.

I ordered mine yesterday (6/27) through retentions and today I got a tracking number even though they said it would be on backorder. Guess I got lucky.

I just switched from Verizon to Sprint yesterday and got the last curve atl the store, very lucky, I am loving this phone, and you can't beat the unlimited data and voice package for a family share with any other carrier, that is what made me switch

The salesperson my gf spoke to said they were in the warehouse.

The salesperson I talked to said they would be shipped out by the end of the week.

We both got tracking numbers this a.m. (hers via FedEx, mine via UPS).

So a bunch should be on the way.

not really. It took forever for it to be activated. Now I am charging the abttery. Then I will head up to Sprint to move over my phonebook and add the BB plan to my phone since telesales wouldn't let me do it when I ordered it.
