I have heard and read in a few places that behind the shell WM6.1 is whats running this thing n it makes sense cause of the sms threaded and other stuff...lots of products do this and wont mention whats really behind it cause of perception and what not and popularity or lack thereof, any confirmers?

You're both wrong it' runs the same OS as the iPhone. Samsung licensed it from Apple.

You're all wrong. It runs a modified version of the Samsung Croix.
