I recently got the HTC Mogul. I'm not thrilled with it. First off, it locks up on me all the time. The touch key pad is hard to use and if you hit the wrong button by accident, it calls the last number automatically. The battery life lasts barely one day if that and if the signal fades, the light on the display turns on and off causing the battery life to last just a few hours. I like the Windows Mobile (Word, Excel, PP) feature and the email/internet feature on the phone. I'm looking to trade in this phone to get another one with similar features, not a touch phone. Mainly I need email and internet access with good battery life. I do not want a blackberry, because I dont want to pay for that extra blackberry service charge. Can anyone suggest a phone that would work for my needs? Thanks.

I know you have already mentioned that you dont want to pay for the extra bb service plan but still see if you could swing it and get a curve you wont be disapointed.

Try out some .cabs, it will make the phone much better.... from what you are saying.. here are some tips: Battery...uncheck rerceive all incoming beams, also which rom are you running? (makes a big difference on battery)
Screen... try a screen lock ( such as slide 2 unlock)
If you still can't deal with the touch screen, get a Q9c ( no wi-fi, wm standard, )
Hope this helps

Well first off sounds like you have a bad unit.
Next what are you paying right now for text? Data? Gps?

I had the same problem, but I'm not sure how I have solved the problem.

Have you tried looking into the Moto Q9c?
Have you tried looking into the Moto Q9c?
Agreed. If the OP doesn't really want touch screen use, the Q9c would be perfect.

Update to the latest firmware and use the task manager in the upper right corner to shutdown applications that are not being used. Mines has never frozen yet. Also I think any phone that is constantly in use for hours will kill the battery. Backlighting uses juice.
