Now that Sprint will reportedly release full-featured updates for both the Mogul and Touch (including revA, GPS, and Sprint TV), I think I want to buy one of them; but I need to understand the tradeoffs. Here's what I already know (or think I know):
1) The Mogul has WiFi and a keyboard.
2) The Touch is thinner and lighter, has more available memory.
3) The Touch comes with a TouchFlo interface. However, a very similar interface can be installed on the Mogul.
4) The Touch can run J2ME applications. Can't J2ME support be loaded onto the Mogul also?
Any other major differences?

4) It is also. Those are the differences. The software can be made almost, if not entirely the same on both handsets. I believe both handsets can already be upgraded to Rev. A and GPS with custom ROMs.
It basically comes down to whether or not you need wifi (honestly, most people don't, especially with RevA) or a keyboard. The keyboard is a big selling point. It makes the phone slightly bigger but is very usefaul at times. However, the keyboard does come with the phone with less memory, which isn't that big of an issue if you have a true task manager that closes programs.
I have had both phones and I have been very happy with the Touch. I liked the small size but I do miss the keyboard on the Mogul at times.
I'd go to s store and play with them both and see how you feel about using the on screen keyboard on the Touch. If you think you can get used to it, then go with the Touch. Or if for some reason you really, really need the wifi, go with the Mogul.

With unlimited EVDO, wi-fi doesn't seem necessary unless you spend a lot of time outside Sprint coverage.
I have a Touch but considered the Mogul. I chose the Touch because of its size.
I have said this on other threads- TouchPal made a huge difference for me. that and a few small adjustments I found while reading other threads & sites. but if you absolutely must have a keyboard go with the Mogul.

So If I buy a mogul on ebay, I can update it to EVDO rev A?

I NEED wifi, even though I have unlimited EVDO, because most of my state doesn't have EVDO towers yet. That's the only reason I have the Mogul
