What are people replacing their A900s with? What is a comparable or better phone?
Got pushed in the pool, I dried the phone out and it powers up and all my info is there, however the phone is stuck in -Offline Mode-.

The m610 was the successor to the a900/900m and is everything it should have been. Its discontinued, but you could still find it on ebay/craigslist.

I think I need to go to the store and buy a new phone today, as I don't have a home phone. My A900 is years old, should there be way better new phones out there... which ones?

Are you only looking for Samsung phones? Check out the Sanyo M1, DLX if not. If you are, check out the m520 (slider) and try see if you can get a used a920. The a920 should be around $50

I've decided to go from my A900 to a Blackberry Curve. A huge difference but I want the keyboard and fast internet. Will get getting it on Sunday.

I was gonna get the M520 slider but they were out of them. Since I don't have a home phone, I needed a phone and couldn't really wait. I ended up getting the HTC Touch and I really like it so far.

Actually spent a week with the Touch, and I am not so crazy about it anymore. I miss actual buttons and a flashing red light indicator when I get a text or miss a call. I also hate having to use a stylus to use the phone. It's going back when the store gets a M520 in.

My A-900 also took a bath months ago in the toilet. I reached in my pocket to see if I had my phone pulled my hand out of my pocket and the phone came with it. The A-900 bounced off the wall and into the toilet. It would have been a great scene in the movie "Magnolia" the impossible happened to me.
I bought a brand new Sanyo Katana 2 on Ebay to replace the A-900

I know you've already gotten the m520 but my wife has had this phone for about 3 weeks and even though it was much better than her old phone she was ok with it. I kinda persuaded her to move into a smart phone. Today she is going to get a pearl. If you can swing the extra $30 get it. I also switched from a sanyo 8300 to a curve and so far i'm liking the smart phone alot. Plus I wanted a all round device where i can download and listen to music and be on the internet and all. This phone has definitely came up to my expectations and plus more.

I still have my A900 and I've been looking to upgrade it. It would of been nice if it had a mini card and better battery life. I would hang on to it but I need to access financial data on the internet.
I've been leaning to the Blackberry Curve and the HTC Touch. The Pearl looks good but I would like a little bigger screen to view info. Wifi would be nice if I could get it. You can get good maps with Google so I don't need GPS.
I guess the best thing to do is go to a Sprint store and play with both of them.
