I can not for the life of me figure out how to install games or apps onto my Katana DLX Sanyo 8500 from the mini sd card. I figured I would make good use of this feature rather than pay sprint to go online a download through the phone. For example. I downloaded a few cell games, jar file type, copied to the mini sd and then transfered to the phone. Once copied to the phone I have no clue what to do next. I have to admit I am not cell phone savvy, but I have searched for numerous days for a solution or answer to this problem with no luck. For all I know it is not possible to copy install games from the mini sd on the katana dlx, or I am just not up to speed. If mini sd is not an option, what do the rest of you fine sprint users suggest I do. I was thinking of using rumkin (sp) uploader, but if I don't have internet access, wouldn't it cost for me to get online trough my phone and download? I know this is a loaded question, but I have spent many hours letting it eat at my soul, and I need some help. Thanks for all the help in advance.

The simple answer is: you can't.
Sprint has crippled these features, it seems, on most of it's new phones. You can only download wallpaper, ringers, etc. through the download services, which Sprint charges you for dearly.
Apparently Mr. Hess, or some other genius at Sprint HQ had the realization that we should pay to have this kind of minimal control over our phones.

umm no, our phones are NOT crippled...you can put ringtones you made and wallpapers you made on the phone. you cant do it from the microsd card tho. youll need the vision package to do it. sometimes if you call up CS they can let you try a month of internet for free, so you can put all the stuff you want on your phone then. once again, sprint phones are NOT crippled; you can put 3rd party apps etc on them.
