I have owned ever wm pda & palm pda, had a nextel blackberry yrs ago. Ive been using a touch since it came out, never had any problems & got used to typing on it with touchpal. I'm just getting bored and want to try something else. I was just wondering if the curve can open up media, pics, edit word, excel docs etc via email.

I receive alot of short video clips via email, power point attachments. The touch is capable of opening window media, mpeg4 etc. Can the curve do this as well? Is the browser as good? I use opra on the touch and its awesome. Help

Blackberry can use Opera Mini as well and browsing is good via that from what I have seen on You Tube. Check out this video, someone made a video showing them using Opera Mini on the new Curve. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwsZIWprEKY

As for opening word, excel docs I don't think Blackberries can do that but I'm not 100% sure. You can recieve pics and video via e-mail on the Curve but I don't know what the possibilities are with recieving video clips other ways.

I can actually view .doc and .ppt on my 8830, I'm hoping once I get the Curve, it'll be able to do the same.

Doc2go is suppose to be released this summer with the 4.5 os. This will allow editing of office files. For free.

Right now there are a few 3rd party app that you can buy to edit these files.

You can veiw though right now with no problems.
