I have a 7100i and am switching to the Curve. To get my contacts from the 7100i to the curve i would just have to restore them thru the desktop manager onto the curve, is that correct? Or what would be the best way?:1zhelp:

Yes that would be the easiest way to do it.

I just came from the 7100i and I used the Switch Device Wizard. I don't think it worked properly and I think it moved the Nextel Service Books over at the same time causing a bunch of hassles. Plus it didn't move any of the installed apps/data over like it said it would. I had to install the app and then restore the data from a backup to it.

I would backup the 7100i and then restore contacts, messages, etc. individually rather than use the switch device wizard. Use the newest one available just to be safe.

So I should probably back up the 7100i with the DTM that comes with the curve then I assume....damn curve got me feeling like a blackberry newbie all over again!

A corporate Sprint store has a device they use to move contacts from one device to another. They got all my contacts from my old Pearl to the Centro.

SprintUsers.com was created in January 2002 as a resource for users of Sprint PCS products and services to learn about and share information. We have cll phone reviews, Cellular Accessories, Downloads, PDA reviews, Ringtones, all of the latest Sprint PCS news and information, an area where you can find help in creating a ring tone or custom image for you phone, and so much more.
