Sanyo 3200 Ringtone Type?

I am trying to create ringtones for my mother-in-law's new 3200, but I can't tell what type it takes. Sanyo's website says it only plays polyphonic types, but I can download a ringtone from Sprint's website that is the actual artist.

Can someone please tell me what type this phone plays? I tried downloading an AAC type, but it says it needs a handler, and I don't know what that means. Thanks.

There is about 4 other treads on the scp 3200 and ring tones and usb but it seems that there is a problem with the scp 3200 Ring tone and pim software

it uses .qcp (actual music) & midi (polyphonic)

the qcp's sounded HORRID on my 3200 however. don't know if it was just my phone or not, because my speaker phone sounded like crap as well.

oh, and the error message about the handler just means it isn't supported on your phone

Most of the time qcp files do sound like crap.

Thanks for the help. I was able to create some ringtones for the phone, and yes, they sound like crap, but at least it does allow for something besides just polyphonic. The bottom line was my mother-in-law was happy, and at the end of the day, that's all that mattered. :hee:
