So after many attempts it looks like I will be able to upgrade to the Curve via Sprints website but some people have said its backordered until June. Is that true? It doesn't say backordered on Sprints site so im just wondering before I order it.

I had called account services today around 12pm EST just to verify they had received a shipment because yesterday when I had placed my order, the BLACK Curve was on backorder but they did have the RED one in stock. They told me that they're expecting a new shipment of BLACK Curve's by Close of Business today so my order will be sent in the morning.

I have heard the red shows every nick and scratch (the ATT version, not sure if it's exactly the same as the Sprint version).

I ordered one through retentions. She said it was backordered, then said, oh, nevermind, we have some in stock. I wasn't given a tracking # yet though, but I've never ordered anything through Sprint like that. Will that be emailed to me when it's shipped?

You should call them around 5pm to request your tracking number. Also, make sure that they are sending you the 8330 & NOT the 8830:irked: They processed my order like that by mistake because in the reps eyes they both look similar.:rolleyes:

Ordered one thru retentions yesterday morning and was not told there was a back order. Called today to see if my tracking number was available and THEN was told that my order for the curve was backordered :mad: but they are now in stock and will have to wait till tomorrow to receive it......I HATE SPRINT!

i just mine last night at 11pm...ups is going to pick it up today and i will have it tomorrow.
what's wierd is 2 weeks ago when i got a sero plan for my gf and i order around 10-11pm...they shipped it out at midnight and got it the next morning!
so does that mean curve was out of stock and they just got shippments in today?

The don't ship out at midnight, that is just the time that UPS updates there webpage... If you order before 3 PM, they normally get it out the sameday as ordered.
I had ordered on Tues and got my curves yesterday, and I ordered 2 of them.

They pickup in the afternoon/early evening... They DO NOT pickup at 1:30am in the morning. That is just the first scan of the package. The billing information can be received at anytime. The package can be in transit at anytime, but the actual pickup is normally in the afternoon. Thats why I said that normally if you place your order by 3pm, your order should go out the sameday. I placed my order around 2pm and got it the next day... also, I had 2 order numbers one for each phone and they ended up being shipped in the SAME box which I thought was interesting.

Sure, I know it is part of the UPS hub area, BUT they are not going to have peeople at brightpoint at all hours.... they are not picking up packages at 12 in the morning, especially since MOST go overnight. They are sorted by that time and possibly also on the plane at that point.
If what you are saying about them really picking up at 12am was true, then there would not be a cutoff at all for ordered to get shipped the sameday. There have been alot of people that have ordered at 6pm and didn't get it until 2 days later.

These phones are not at brightpoint, thats still TBA.
Back before CDW bought Warehouse.com you could order items from them up to 11 Central and stil get them overnighted because of their proximity to the hub.
Who is to say these are not being shiped by UPS Logistics?
