out of my third party applications that I'm worried about transferring over is the bbsmart email viewer because the other ones ive downloaded for free or have purchased licenses to transfer over.

i did the device switch manager for my 8830 to my curve but it didnt take over the majority of my programs.

the blackberry technical suport rep told me to do a backup on my 8830 and do a restore on the curve instead of using the device switch manager.

could it be due to different OS?

any other thoughts?
