I just left Lenox mall in Atlanta and purchased the case shown below. I have not seen RIM offer cases like this anywhere else but it is authentic and also has the magnet placed for the proximity sensor. I decided to pick it up after getting the seller to lower the price because it looks stylish and business oriented.
I went with a holster(mobi Part# A3370) $14.95

I went with the Seidio rubberized hard case (http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1003). The phone could use a bit more traction and the case will help with that. The cases aren't shipping just yet, but it should be on the new phone in a couple weeks at most.

Yeah the ones on Amazon definitely look legit, so much better price than CrackBerry (which isn't really a cheap place to buy things to begin with).
Only problem I have with that holster is the BlackBerry emblem breaks off very easily (my 8830s holster emblem broke off) and there have been many reported cases of the belt clip breaking too easily.

The same experience here with my 8830 holster. I've caught it on door jams, seat belts, clothing, etc. and nothing has fallen off or broken. Hopefully the Curve case will work as well, but for $11, even if something does happen, it's not the end of the world.

I bought a Seidio holster for my Treo and it was the best thing I've ever bought. Secure, easy to use, and very nice looking. I'm not sure if they have the magnet thing though.
For me, I'm probably going to just keep mine in my pocket. I used a holster/case for my Treo for over a year and finally got tired of it. For the past year or so, it's been naked, in my pocket, with no problems at all.

Yes, check out www.zagg.com. They make the invisibleshield which is outstanding. It keeps the screen looking shiny and it's almost 99% scratch resistant. The material of the shield does not allow your skin oil and dirt to seep through so you can wipe it off quite easily.
The site has the screen shield ($13) and full body ($25) shield for the Verizon Curve 8330 which is the same device.
They offer a lifetime warranty as well, you just pay $3.95 for shipping. They let me change my shield from the 8830 to the Curve as part of my lifetime warranty since Sprint exchanged my device.

I've never tried InvisibleShield myself, but I have had BSE on last 3 of my phones/PDAs and it works great. Others who have tried both said it was the same quality; actually, I suspect the material for both is probably made by 3M anyways, and InvisibleShield/BSE just cut it to their specs and resell it.

Are you looking for a full device protection thing, or just the screen. I've heard BoxWave makes some pretty good stuff. I used their antiglare screen protector, and it was great, but I think I'd rather get a crystal clear one. On my Treo, it hasn't had one in a few months, but I don't think I'd chance it with the Curve....if I ever get it.

Yeah the price of InvisibleShield is getting up there but I bought it a while back when you could still use the 50% off coupon. They no longer allow the use of this coupon which sucks for new customers. But I will continue to take advantage of my lifetime warranty instead of buying new protective skins.

Honestly, it probably is. Might be a little different but you would probably not notice. InvisibleShield is great but it too has faults. It didn't stick all to well to the corners of my 8830 and started to peel more and more each week. Also you have to be very precise with putting it on to avoid air bubbles. And if you plan on putting your BB in a holster with the skin on it makes for a very snug fit because of the different materials.
I bought the full body shield for my MacBook and have never once regretted that purchase.

I would think the same (about the 3M) but numerous times they have claimed to make their own material. They say its military grade protective skin used on military helicopter blades. I don't know how much truth there is to Zagg's claims but hey it works so I'm not complaining. I think its funny that they are on NASDAQ though.

I used The Invisible Shield for my Treo 650, and I think when I finally took it off (peeling, dirt getting around the edges, etc.), it left a weird feeling to the Treo. I think you'll be happy with the skin. I can hardly tell it's there on my 8830, but then again, I put it on as soon as I took the phone out of the box. You may notice some difference if you're used to using the Curve without the skin, but I'm sure you'll get used to it and it won't be as noticeable anymore.

That's true. But since your Curve battery is still new, too, it should make the comparison a little easier. If you don't mind, maybe you could use one battery for let's say a week, then switch to the other for a week, and so on. That should give you a good side-by-side comparison of the two.

I guess it could be because the new battery is actually touching the back plate, where as with the stock battery, there may have been an "air bubble" between the two that kept the panel cooler.

I thought iy would be one pieace for the front and one for the back but it was nothing like I was expecting. It comes with a spray bottle to spray on the protectors. The Bottle was empty! It also came with a rubber squeegee to apply the protective film and get the air bubbles out. I just applied the film and used the squeegee the best I can and got most of the bubbles out but it was not worth the $24.95 I paid for which is for the entire phone and there is just a screen protector also which I wouls say buy first before you pay the $24.95, I did get my OEM Blackberry case thats pictured in post#67 and I love it so far, no complaints at all.

That's why I buy BSE skins; you get exactly the same skin as from InvisableShield, less the bottle and the squeegee, for $6.99. You can use soapy water to apply the skin, and a credit card to squeeze out the bubbles.

I got the Invisable Shield from Zagg and I will be honest with you all I think it's very overpriced. Basically what you get is clear rubbery inserts that lay over the phone. I thought iy would be one pieace for the front and one for the back but it was nothing like I was expecting. It comes with a spray bottle to spray on the protectors. The Bottle was empty! It also came with a rubber squeegee to apply the protective film and get the air bubbles out. I just applied the film and used the squeegee the best I can and got most of the bubbles out but it was not worth the $24.95 I paid for which is for the entire phone and there is just a screen protector also which I wouls say buy first before you pay the $24.95, I did get my OEM Blackberry case thats pictured in post#67 and I love it so far, no complaints at all.
oh man i was thinking about getting this too. i hate any kinda rubbery crap. i either want a clear hard case or a clear skin like this.
I guess i will give the BSE a try.

The bse screen protector I had on my moto q was alright.glad I didn't pay much for it but it was not my favorite though. Too thick and rubber like feel. For me the screen looked worse quality wise and I clean the screen really well before hand. I even fogged me bathroom to get the dust to settle like they say to do. It was basically the cleanest environment I could get and still wasn't great. I bought another one the week later and had the ezact same results with the second one.

I ended up just getting one from Sprint store. I paid 24.99 for a two pack hard plastic case. Black and Clear are the color of choice and it seemed to have a OEM Case that Sprint released for the Curve. Came with ONE clip and both cases had a clip that stuck out of the case.
For me and my wife, this was the most economical way to protect the case while we research more into other cases. Frankly speaking, this case is nice. Hard plastic case and perfect fitment. We also got Sprint screen guard that they told for $10 bucks at the store. It does its job for now. We will see how long this protection last. We spent $35 bucks for two cases and screen guards for out 2 Curves. Money well spend.

Just ordered the vertical pouch last night from Fortte in this color:
That's why I buy BSE skins; you get exactly the same skin as from InvisableShield, less the bottle and the squeegee, for $6.99. You can use soapy water to apply the skin, and a credit card to squeeze out the bubbles.

Did your case show it would ship may 26th week? When I ordered mine it said for black may 19th. I'm kinda mad that it only shows the 26th now as I was hoping to get mine this week and it looks like it won't ship for at least another 6 days.

It did say that it would ship the week of 5/26. I was kinda bummed, but I didn't like the somewhat lukewarm reviews the silicone-type RIM OEM case was getting. Mostly because I'm not the holster type and the curve's going to spend a lot of time in pockets--lots of those reviews said the OEM case slips off that way...

Yeah it's rubber and it fits like a glove. Decently thick too. Not only does it look nice, but it's well protected too! :tu: I was also impressed by T-Mobile's color selection. Best $10 I've ever spent. :D

I have applied the ZAGG InvisiblShield to my Sprint 8330. After buying one for my iPod classic last summer I had to have one for my curve. I think they make a great product. Others will disagree but I think it is well worth the time to apply it for the protection you'll get. Plus if it ever scratches you can send it in for a new one. I think it makes the device look better too. Once completely dry, the device shines and will always look new. I applied the full body coverage. The screen protector covers the entire front area and not just the viewing area.
The only con is of course the 24.95.

Straight from ZAGG website:
Q: My solution bottle came empty or leaked. How can I get more?
A: The SHIELDspray application solution is mostly a water-based solution, so if your bottle doesn't have solution in it, we suggest just filling it up with water. There is usually enough residue left in the bottle from the original solution, so just filling it up with water again should make it work just fine! If you run out during the installation, you can still refill the bottle up to 2-3 more times and still have the same effect

You will be pleased. Some advice. Wet the heck out of the back with the spray bottle. Drench it and then place it on the screen. That way you won't get any finger prints on the stick side. The squeegee that comes with it will take care of the excess water. It is fairly easy to get all bubbles out if you wet it enough. When it dries you will notice how shiny and perfect your screen will look. If you see imperfections it is best to get them out while the solution is still wet. The minor areas will disappear once the solution dries over a 8-12 hour period.

I still use the silicone case with the full body ZAGG Invisibl Shield. I am freak when it comes to protection of my devices. Even though it says full body, there are still some areas on the phone it does not cover.

I always worried about that too. It does not take much to "drench" the screen shield. To be safe I kept my battery out of the device and let it sit for 12 hours before I put it back in and used it. Works like a charm. You just have to be careful not to get liquid in the small crevasses and have a towel nearby to soak up excess.

I'm still trying to decide on what case to get. I want a case without a clip because I don't carry my phone that way, it is either in my purse or my book bag for class. I also want a case that will allow me to charge the phone while it is inside, because I have a very bad cat that likes to knock things off of tables :irked: I just don't care for the case that it came with...

I just purchased a full-body screen protector from www.clearprotector.com (i have purchase from there before and have never been disappointed) and want to use a hard case also.
I was wondering if anybody is using a full-body protector (BES, InvisibleShield, Clear Protector, etc.) with a case such as the seidio hard/rubberized cases over it?
I previously had an iphone and attempted this but the fit was very snug and one corner of the case would not shut.

I also received and installed my BSE skin today. I have to agree that it was a somewhat frustrating experience, but it worked in the end. It was the most difficult installation of any BSE skin I've done before (and I installed many, and most of them were different Blackberry models), and I had to rip it off and re-apply a couple of times before I got it right. I don't like how they designed the screen protector piece on this skin, and I'd much prefer it just covering the screen itself (the black part) instead of wrapping around. There is just not enough real estate on the sides, and I have a feeling it may start peeling in those areas pretty quickly. But time will tell...I didn't bother with the bottom pieces and they don't seem to serve much purpose. In fact, the piece I was mostly interest in was the back skin - I was always afraid to scratch the back just by putting the phone down on the desk, night stand, etc. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore. :D

Funny that you say that; I've also done BSE installation for several people at the office, as well as on our on-call/support Pearls and 8703s.
If you do talk to them about the design change, I'd be willing to co-sign. Maybe more people here will, too. If this screen piece starts peeling off, I won't buy another one to redo it because it'll just be more of the same. However, if they change the design, I'll probably pick up a couple of spares.

Actually, I love the design change -- the new wrap-around totally prevents dust from getting in under the screen through the gaps between the screen and body.
Just do the screen like you normally would, letting the flaps hang out -- come back like 15-20 minutes later and fold them over, and it's perfect. Don't try to do it all at once or you'll go crazy.

Sorry to hear you had trouble putting it on -- I've done a ton on my older BBs before and this one did give me a little trouble until I let it sit for a while before folding it over.
However, I have to say that the flaps are totally worth it, considering I had to return two previous AT&T Curves for dust under the screen.

So I've had my Curve for a bit as well as the Best Skins Ever full body kit. Others have mentioned it was the hardest skin/case to put on. It's definitely a lot more involved, but not difficult.
After applying the skin, I noticed some white stretch marks on the skin as well as a couple water pockets. I was a bit disappointed but didn't want to bother starting the whole application process over again. But the instructions did say the skin looks better over 24-48 hours.
Sure enough, in a couple days, the white stretch marks and water pockets disappeared! I guess the skin is a bit porous to allow the water to evaporate like that.
All in all, I am thoroughly pleased with the skin. It provides a good grip, looks fantastic, and prevents the phone from sliding around.

I'd really like to get a nice rubberized skin like the Seidio Rubberized case: (http://69.49.184.252/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CSR2BB8330%2DBK) or the OEM Skin (http://www.amazon.com/Blackberry-Skin-Black-White-Blue/dp/B000ZSYLCA)
but i'd like to pair it with a Sena Pouch or similar (http://www.senacases.com/Catalog/BLACKBERRY-8300-CURVE-CASES_2/BLACKBERRY-CURVE-8300-8310-8320-SERIES-ULTRA-SLIM-POUCH)
or http://www.senacases.com/Catalog/BLACKBERRY-8300-CURVE-CASES_2/VERTICAL-POUCH-A02
My question is, will the skin add to much 'bulk' so it doesn't fit in the pouches well?
Has anyone done this combo before? Is there a slightly larger model pouch I should look into that would help with this problem?

Just ordered the Seidio Blue Hard Case and the Invisashield screen only, also have the Leather OEM Holster for my 8330. I am hoping since the Seidio is only 1.2mm thick it will fit in my 8330 OEM Holster.

I've seen people squeeze the 8330 in the OEM leather case when they had an OEM rubberized cover on it, so there's a decent chance it will fit. Be sure to post here if it does because I am wondering.

I protect my red curve with a dark red oem skin I got from ebay for 4 bucks with shipping...
does anyone know if those silcone cases will still allow me to put it in my bb case clip? Its not the one that came with the curve. I have the one that comes with the 8830.

Post up MUST have Case for your Curve. There are many sites such as Crackberry.com to Ebay that offer hard to skin cases. Any reviews and pros/cons experience would be great.
my only hesitancy is that the sleeper mode won't work with this as it does with the OEM case....i know one day im going to forget to put it in standby or use the keyboard lock and accidentally call my gf while i'm out with the boys....it hsa happened before and it wasn't pretty

Hey there people! Instead of waiting for Crackberry.com to ship your case,
you could walk in to your local bestbuy and pick up the oem case w/ the belt clip here (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8464084&type=product&id=1184768698480) :)
wow too expensive, i got mine from amazon $10.50 shipped same thing

New Curve owner. Got a holder for the phone but not a clip-on-the-belt one. I have been told by a friend to find a holster that has the sleeper mode capability, and that is side or horizontal mount. Where can I find one and are about what do they cost?

Does anyone know where I can get a slip case like this one
http://axxesswireless.net/webstore/details.php?id=31&back_ref=index.php?cat_path=9_23&page=1
Except, in stock?
Also, will the 8330 fit in the same cases as the 8310/8320?

Has anyone bought the "Black Rubberized Shield Protector Case" or any of the hard cases from DayDeal.com? Looking to get a hard case and they are half the price of the Sedio ones and was wondering if they are worth getting.

I got the Fortte.com sidemounted case, with the traditional metal clip back (encased in leather). It is some nice, nice and greatlooking case, very appropriate in business attire. They had a 30% Veteran's day discount and it came to like $28.00 shipped. Mine is black leather but they have a lot of options.

I still use the silicone case with the full body ZAGG Invisibl Shield. I am freak when it comes to protection of my devices. Even though it says full body, there are still some areas on the phone it does not cover.
I have the Seidio 2600 mAh extended battery and have the rubberized hard case for the extended battery on the way as well. I will start using that once it arrives.
What skin do you have? I just ordered my ZAGG Invisibl Shield I also want extra protection. Can someone suggest a holster with sleep mode that Curve 8330 with Invisi Sheild will fit? Gracias...:tu:...T/Y

I'm looking for a slim leather side case with a belt clip. I saw this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=360111726730 and the size of the Storm and the Curve are very close.. So I thought this would be perfect.. So I e-mailed the seller... I wanted to know the dimensions and if the Curve would fit.
The response was NO it wouldn't fit the Curve, it's too big for the Curve, and no answer to the dimensions.
Anyone know whats up?
