I need your help guys and girls,

I have the opportunity to purchase a new mogul w/ rev a for 200.00 w/no contact. Right not I have three lines with a monthly bill of 120.00. The contract on one of the lines has expired so I would get the full 150.00 off the curve. The only problem is that I would have to change that plan to the 99.00 everything plan to be somewhat cost effective. Add that to the family plan just renewed and my bill would increase to 160.00 before taxes. I'm starting to text more so I will be adding that anyway. Please advise

Can you provide some details on your current plan? And to be honest, $200 for without a contract extension is pretty good. Where are you getting that offer? Cause I seriously doubt Sprint CS/Telesales is giving that offering w/o an extension.

Mogul is a terrible phone. I'm returning mine to get a Curve.

I have 3 lines on a a friends and family w/800 min, nights @7, plus 20% off total. Retentions sent my brother two extra moguls for his business. I was going to get one from him. If I bought the curve, I would change one of the lines to the 99.00 everything to get bb business connect, it would be cheaper that way, I think:icon_smil

Agreed! When I had it I must say it was an okay pda device, but it was a HORRIBLE phone which is what it is meant for.

I have a mogul, I use it only as my rev a modem for my laptop. I have a bb I use every day.

The mogul is fine if you don't want to use it as a phone. Its a killer pda but the phone is a pita.

Bb is the best of both, if you don't need to tether, go for the bb.

lol, unless you have the Free PAM option on SEP. And i've never experienced Rev. A so I don't know what I'm missing. Got rid of my Mogul right before they brought Rev. A to my area and my 8830 doesn't have it. And my Curve won't have it so I guess I'm still stuck with what I have now. But I'm not a huge tetherer, I just come home and use my Comcast cable for fast internet access.

Well how many minutes a month do you use yourself? Cause your 20% discount can be used on the 89.99 900 minute Simply Everything plan but not the unlimited voice ones.

My mom and I barely use 600 minutes. Not being able to use my discount is just bogus, they started giving me the 20% discount because they screwed up my bill for five months straight. I will have to talk to retentions about this.:icon_smil

I've tried them all, and nothing compares to a BB on messaging. I never understood what people were so hot on the BB till I got my first pearl. Now I can't wait to get a full qwerty on my Curve. I've tried the Mogul, Touch, Q and the list keeps going. The BB is a rock solid phone with an excellent OS that is great for messaging. WM smartphones are too glitchy and inconsistent for me. I couldn't tell you how many times I would miss texts and calls because my Touch wouldn't ring or make a sound. You live and die by the LED indicator on the BB phones.

As has been said, the Mogul sucks and I can't wait for my Curve to arrive. I have so many problems trying to receive and make calls.

Get Blackberry reliability and speed. Windows Mobile based phones just don't compare.

The Mogul with WMWifiRouter is great for tethering on the unlimited plan. I have to agree that using the Mogul as a phone just isn't that great. With a BT headset and Voice Command you can somewhat avoid using the touchscreen dialpad, and that helps, but I keep wanting to go back to my T-Mobile curve for phone usage.

If someone finds, (or has found), a way to occasionally tether the Curve on an unlimited plan, that would be awesome.

I've had the Mogul and now the Curve. and the Curve beats it hands down. The WM OS is more customizable but thats where it ends. As a phone the Curve is 10x better with volume and call clarity. I love this keyboard more than the Moguls, it got annoying having the slide out the keyboard every time. With the Mogul I had multiple resets and slow downs because of Windows. BB has been much more stable. Ive had many WM phone (Mogul, Touch, Q) and this is my first BB and i am never going back to WM.
