I have a DLX and the battery that came with it says "Sanyo" with the model number SCP-28LBPS (S) on it.
i went to the sprint store because i wanted a spare battery (i always carry 2 batteries no matter what phone i have ever purchased). the spare battery i purchased says "Sprint" on it with no model number and is lighter in weight.
i was curious if anyone knows if there is a difference in the 2 batteries.

Edit:
i just checked the "Sprint" battery and it has the following model number on it:
BSY8500S92L and it says 920mAh and "by Sanyo."
Does anyone know the mAh capacity on the "Sanyo" battery?
Btw, i am speaking about the standard battery, not the HiCap battery.

The size of a standard sanyo katana dlx bat is 1000 mah witch stands for milliamp hour and is the capacity of the bat the higher rating the more talk time you have.

So the "Sprint" battery has a lower capacity which may be why it is lighter.
The 80mAh difference is not noticeable in use.
wonder why there is a difference in capacity. maybe i'll call Sanyo.

It was probably made at a different manufacturer quite often OE stuff in not identical

Yes but it is an approved manufacture buy sanyo for sanyo. Also it may seem that it lasts just as long but I am sure it doesn't yours is used now for one and for 2 you haven't load tester it the best way I can think of that you can do is surf the web contiuously untill it dies dead and powers it self off. Do that on both and mesure the time it takes youwill bw close.
You said befor you always carry two batts. Why do you do that or are you like me you never know when you are going to be home I have been known to be gone for days but I keep a duffl bag in the car and in my duffl bag I keep a car charger and some clothes and shaving gear

If I am lucky enough, i wont be home every night:)
i always carry 2 batteries for Just In Case i run out of juice between stand by, voice and data usage.
i should be getting 8% less juice with the 920 which would equate to 20 minutes if i was getting 4 hours with the 1000mAh battery.
sorry for the delay in posting but i sometimes lose track while posting from my cellphone. i guess i got to use the subscribed thread feature because i always just use my memory.
