View Full Version : Conspiracy theories; Real reason for Curve's delayed May 9th release.

To help a bit with the anxiousness some... ok... ALL are feeling while awaiting your shipments from Telesales, retentions, Mother Teresa, or whoever else might have shipped out your Curve to you, I thought of collecting our creative ideas on...

!!THE TRUTH BEHIND THE CURVE'S DELAY!!

I'll start with my own, of course... After much thought I realized that a software issue is too easy to use as an excuse. It's not original or creative enough to make it feasible anymore. I am convinced there is another reason behind the delay...

The real reason must've been that the factory that molds the plastic parts for the phone mixed the wrong colors for the production units, which in turn caused Sprint to have to redo their entire photoshoots and propaganda to more accurately represent a phone that turned out to be a few shades shy of silver, instead...

Before...

After...

What's your story?

I believe Sprint upper management are from another planet having lack of parts to assemble the Curve thus delay was had.
How do I come to this conclusion you may wonder.......
Ive noticed those in customer service retentions speak a very odd language that makes no sense. When it came to the release of Curve they gave us so many different release date,50 different reasons for delay and more release dates....kind of like a hidden code of sorts....a code from another planet.

This might be so... According to my coworkers, I spent 1 hour and 17 minutes on the phone with Sprint yesterday while they waited for me at a cafe... I can only recollect the first and last 5 minutes of my call. I do remember thinking it was strange the person's voice changed drastically during the last 5 minutes.

Anyway, I have to go now. Have an emergency appointment with the Dr. to see why my a** hurts.

Probably the same reason why I think mine was hurting early. I sat in this chair for to long drolling, wanting, stressing, dreaming, hoping, getting angry.. over this darn curve.

My Sisters' Boyfriends' mother works with a guy whose uncle used to play golf with a guy that knew another guy whose son is a higher up at Sprint; apparently the reason for the delay was some sort of communication problem concerning the correct pronunciation of Dan Hesse's last name.

I think they knew about the Sprint Users message board and KNEW we were so eager for the phone. They figuired they would torture us by delaying it, and then watch out reactions on the boards. Of course this was a stress test paid for by some scientists in Cuba...... its a study on Blackberries and Sprint Users.......

What about Alltel's? It seems like they were all RIM's renders.

it has ALWAYS been Titanium as the first color. I don't even know where anybody got this black rumor/color from at all.

It was software delays and I hope the Curve does not have that many freezing/locking up issues that pertain to text messaging.

I think people thought it was black because a image emerged showing a black curve with a sprint logo on it... as it turns out i think the image was actually a cgi and not an actual photo.

i forgot to mention that, personally, the image from my last post looks black compared to the image on sprint.com, which doesn't look as black. i guess we'll see within hours when they start to be delivered. as for that youtube video, i couldn't tell what color it is. its all part of the excitement for me.

Not only did an image emerge in cyberland, the actual original Sprint In store marketing material (from April launch date) also clearly showed The Black Curve. Which incidentally, would have been hands down the hottest color and having it exclusive to Sprint would have ALMOST made it worth waiting for. Now we're just last to the party. Dammit where's UPS?
