Hi,

Congrats to everyone who's ordered a curve and awaiting its arrival!!!
Do you guys think that if we wait for it to hit BB or radio shack...it might be offered at a better price?

Thanks

Yeah I would agree that $179.99 is the best price, anywhere else and it's a shady deal, gotta be some catch.

I'm gonna pass. I like the size of the device, but it's too early to tell if it will be the performer (voice quality and loudness) the AT&T one is. Just tired of the BlackBerry experience.

Best Buy always has the mail in rebate already built in to the price of the phone. So if Sprint is selling the Curve for $279.99 with a $100 rebate, Best Buy sells the phone for $179.99 plus tax. I HAAAAATE those stupid mail in rebates, but that's just me. Problem is Best Buy has no idea when they will be getting the Curve. :(

i am so ready to call retentions but i got a lil problem. i have a 5th line on my account that i NEEED to get rid of but it only expires in july. so i am scared to renew all my other lines and get some phones because i dont want them to accidentally renew my other one.

is there anything coming out in the near future thats going to be good? i think i ma pass on the instinct just because i cant take the whole iphone knock off jokes...i like the browser though.

what do yall think?

I like Best Buy. That's the only place I buy my phones because I don't have to screw around with those stupid mail in rebates from Sprint. If Sprint is selling the Curve for $279.99 plus a $100 rebate, Best Buy will sell the phone for $179.99 and I keep $100 in the bank. Problem is, Best Buy has no idea when they are getting the Curve. :irked:

I'm going to hold off on the Curve until the Instinct comes out. I like Samsung phones and I've never had any problems with them. Is Sprint getting that Blackberry flip phone?

There's no indication at this point it will happen--I think TMob is getting it first, right? Usually they lag behind by a year or more...so it might happen...but it'll be in 2009/2010.

BOth my 8830 and my wife's 8130 sound superb. There's a little something called track record, and BlackBerry's definitely have a good one in my book.

I see that you've owned an 8830... What was your opinion of it, as a phone (not a messaging/PDA device)?

Not all phones sound as good in their CDMA skin that they do in their GSM skin.

I didn't like the bulkiness and keyboard on that one. But as a phone, it sounded okay.

hey guys! i want a curve so bad! i called sprint and they told me i would have to pay 599.99 -75.00 because i'm only eligible for a 75.00 rebate. Is there any way to get around paying the full price without being charged a cancellation fee? i am currently on a regular sprint plan with free vision, and other discounts from being a customer since 2002. I have gotten zero help from CS so far. I KNOW they can't expect someone who has been a customer that long to pay that much for that phone. I will go to another company if they won't work with me. is there a way to get around it? thanks!
