Hmmm I checked my account usage today and saw this:
Other Usage Included Used Remaining Additional Used
Vision Data Unlimited 16828816 Unlimited --
I haven't used my phone excessively this month? Just google/live maps here and there, occasional browsing, etc.
Anyone encounter something like this before?
I have a Mogul.

That includes all of your emails also. Since you have unlimited, don't worry about it.

16,828,816kb x $0.03 per kb= $504,864.48 Good thing data is included.

hahaha wow! Even with my emails synced and my amount of internet usage, I don't see how ~16gb is even possible. I watch a few streaming videos here and there, but probably don't even manage to hit that on my broadband connection at home.

Probably a typo thats why its so unrealistic and humorous at the same time.

It may just be the math. I come up with about 2GB(gigabytes).
What may also be confusing is the difference between KB(kilobytes) and Kb(kilobits). Since there are 8bits per 1byte, you have to do some division to arrive at the correct number.

Thats a good point, but I think something is wrong on their end. My usage has remained about the same month to month and I've never seen anything like this before.

On my phone, a Samsung A900, there isn't a way for me to check the data usage.
On your Mogul, since it uses Windows Mobile, is there a way to check data usage somewhere in the web browser?

I'm sure theres a program for windows mobile to track data usage, but I've always checked my account from www.sprint.com. After you login, theres a 'check current usage' link on the main page. I don't recall this being available when I had my A900, but I think it was a system upgrade and not phone specific.
edit: Actually I'm almost positive about it. My brother still uses an A900 and he showed me his current data usage before, through the sprint website.

I understand what you mean about checking your data usage on the Sprint website. What's also interesting is that the data usage is in the same column as the minutes used and that it doesn't say whether it's kilobits or not.

Sprint's data usage is listed in KB (kilobytes).

Sprint's data usage is listed in KB (kilobytes).
If it is in kilobytes, then the data usage goes back to being over 16GB as stated earlier.
That just doesn't seem realistic.

I won't mind, as long as I don't get a call or charge for this. I know I have an unlimited plan, but this amount of use might throw a flag somewhere.

Sprint's data usage is listed in KB (kilobytes).
Thanks for the info.
This is from the "Terms & Conditions" policy of Sprint.
Data Usage: Unless we specifically tell you otherwise, data usage is measured in bytes, kilobytes and megabytes - not in minutes/time. 1024 bytes equals 1 kilobyte ("KB"), and 1024 KB equals 1 megabyte. Bytes are rounded up to kilobytes, so you will be charged at least 1 KB for each data usage session ("data session"). Rounding occurs at the end of each data session, and sometimes during a data session. Depending on your data Services, usage may be charged against an allowance or on a fixed price per KB. If you are charged on a fixed price per KB, any fractional cents will be rounded up to the next cent. You are charged for all data directed to your Device's internet address, including data sessions you did not initiate and for incomplete transfers. As long as your Device is connected to our data network, you may incur data charges. Examples of data you will be charged for includes the size of a requested file or Data Content (game, ringer, etc.), web page graphics (logos, pictures, banners, advertisement, etc.), additional data used in accessing, transporting and routing the file on our network, data from partial or interrupted downloads, re-sent data, and data associated with unsuccessful attempts to reach websites or use applications. These data charges are in addition to any charges for the Data Content itself (game, ringer, etc.). Data used and charged to you will vary widely, even between identical actions or data sessions. Estimates of data usage - for example, the size of downloadable files - are not reliable predictors of actual usage. Your bill won't separately list the number of KB attributed to a specific action/data session.

Oh I agree. I'm sure there's some random problem on Sprint's end. Even though the OP technically has unlimited data, I'd still probably try to get Sprint to look into it, because I can see them getting upset with that much data usage.

Is it possible that the data connection is on even though you may think that you are not connected.
Sometimes when I use my data connection, whether it's for web, Sprint TV or other use, and then I exit the application it will ask if I want to end or disconnect. Other times it will just exit and I look at the data connection icon to see the status of the connection and it is still active.
