I have had only sanyo phones for as long as i have been a sprint customer. but the latest phone i have which is the DLX seems to have many more issues than any other sanyo phone i have ever had.

I dont know if this is attributed to:

1) sanyo in the middle of selling their cellphone division (or is this done already regarding kyocera?) and therefore sanyo is not being as diligent as they have in the past regarding manufacturing a superior product.

2) the DLX has alot of features and there are just more things that can in wrong as there are in alot of current technical devices.

there does not seem to be anything to replace the DLX so i will be looking for another manufacturer. it has been a good run but things end sooner or later and then it comes time for a change.

the sanyo is still a very durable device physically if not technically.

now to start investigating on what device to get next. i was so used to the UI on the Sanyos.

I didnt know that. do you know what the model is supposed to be?

even so, the question remains about the technical quality of the phone which is what i am concerned about.

the DLX does alot of things nicely but it is just so buggy it gets annoying.

Thanks for the links. not sure if this will be a DLX replacement.

i was thinking of getting a touch or maybe the instinct. its all up in the air as i am so used to using a standard cellphone and not a smartphone, pda, etc.

I'm on the fence about ending ties with Sanyo too, when the two basic Pros came out it gave hope that a game changer like a 5400, 5500, 5600, 9000 or M1 wouldn't be far behind, still waiting though. We are on a break
