Hi,
I've had an M1 from the 1st month it came out and can say this is the BEST phone I have ever had. It's cool to say many posts about it (which shows many of us still have it).
I was wonder what phone most M1 users have moved on to and if you are happy with it....
I want to move on but don't know what to go with....
Thinking BB....
Any advise would be appreciated
Thanks

I'm in the same boat, I actually wanted the Pearl and like the Curve too (almost went for the Touch but no GPS) but didn't want to pay extra for my data pack and loose viewing options. I have an Ultimate Pack with fam text already so now it all comes down to whether or not Hesse is going to make me change my plan to get the Instinct

I had the LG Fusic for a couple of months, then moved on to the Motorola Q9c. The phone is nice, but I'm patiently waiting for the much-needed upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.1

i have the mogul right now and i am very happy. does everything that sprint can do except Sprint TV (with modifications). Hopefully I'll get the Curve this Wednesday. If not, the Instinct may be my next phone.

I moved on to a 6700, I like my M1 better. Phone wise, that is.
The 6700 can be modified easily and I'm running wm 6.1 on it, but I need to soft reset it like 4-5 times a day due to freezes. Also, it's not as easy to call as the M1, and the speaker isn't half as loud as the M1's. It does have Wifi, which I use a lot, and you can download directly from websites, and it's got a Minisd slot. I can stream youtube videos directly from the real youtube site (not m.youtube) and the screen is really big compared to the M1. I also like the qwerty keyboard, it took me around 2-3 days to get used to and it's alot faster than the M1 at texting.

Wasn't the instinct announced as being a part of the "now" network. I thought you had to be on a "Simply" plan. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
As far as the phones that I've went to after the M1, see my signature. Also you can see how many times I jumped back to the M1. In fact, I just bought another M1 today for $40.

I hated the build quality on the M1 compared to Sanyo's previous models. It felt like a cheap toy.

I need a new phone to replace the M1 but dont see anything comparable. I think the best phone sayno ever made was the 9000 and I still have it activated from the 1st week it came out. Been through 3 m1's already.

I didn't see anything comparable to the M1 spec wise, so I got a smartphone. Every M1 I had after the 1st one(which lasted almost a year) had bad battery life, weird screen issues, and random restarts.
I have a Mogul now btw.

I had a M1 when it first came out and used it for a month. Didn't care for how the phone didn't feel solid and showed wear & tear quick so I sold it to a friend. Just recently after using almost every Sprint phone I bought a cheap M1 off craigslist even though it showed a lot of wear and tear. I noticed it had a issue so I had Sprint test it and they swapped it for a brand new V9m. The build/sound quality on the V9m is a great and the lag is not as bad as people make it out to be. Battery life is not the greatest but you shouldn't expect it to be that good considering the slim design. I might get a BB to but just don't really need one or the extra cost for a BB plan. Should be some nice phones coming out in June.
Still sitting on my M1, with 9k backup until the new UberSanyo comes out. If I didn't use my Moto Ming for my work phone, I might have swapped up to a Mogul by now just for the utility/PDA stuff. As it is now, I'm more than happy with the M1 (despite the everpresent battery issues, and WEAK microphone).

just last weekend i replaced my M1 with a muzic. I only swap to it on the weekends and use my 700wx during the work week. the M1 is a great phone but i started to want something a bit slimmer to carry around on the weekends.

I Have Been Using The M1 Since It Came Out And Have Loved It. I Am Now To The Point Where I Have Hit The Wall Of This Phones Capabilities And Am Looking At Either The HTC Mogul Or The Samsung Instinct, He I Can Wait That Long. My Only Beef With Sanyo Is That Every One I Have Owned Was Discontinued.

have the m1, great phone, one of a kind, same with my 9000, and also have a 5600. still use my mogul mostly, but switched to m1 last night for better reception. lookin next at the curve or pro 700. 700 doesnt have a camera but it looks durable as hell, and is one of the new qchat phones. curve is cool with cam and qwerty, just sucks to add on the bb package. had a 8830 and red pearl, so not a stranger to bb. 7050 also looks sweet cause of how badass durable it is. military grade spec phone, just rare to find one, cause everyone that has it, wont let it go.

The M1 is my second favorite phone ever. I only reason I got rid of it because I got tired of T9. Replaced it with a Touch a month and a half ago. BTW my favorite phone all time is the Samsung i500...

The M1's a tough little guy and it does almost everything I need fairly well, including GPS and weather w/GPS. I've been looking at the Mogul, but I don't know if there are any weather programs similar to Mycast, where it can show your location and where the rain clouds are. (I do some motorcycling and wet shoes are annoying)

Yeah, I'm with you, it's either going to be a new high end Sanyo or an HTC diamond or Raphael for me.

I've already switched to a Mogul, and I just bought another M1 to possibly switch back to. WM lags wayy too much compared to the M1

Looking to switch to the Instinct.
Ive had my M1 since it was released. It has been a great phone, but the chunky form factor and limited space are a no go for me now.

I've been a loyal Sanyo fan forever, but I just switched over to the Instinct. I am quite happy with the device, and the touch interface is amazing. Sanyo needs to come out with a superior touch interface design to win me back. No more traditional cell phone for me.
