View Full Version : Best *currently available* family/shared retention plan on Ensemble ?

I am trying to add a new line/phone to a F&F shared plan and it is getting to be a mess apparently because Ensemble doesn't have the codes to do an AAP on this discontinued F&F shared plan (800AT for $69.99).

So what is the best currently available retention family/shared plan that Ensemble knows about, that is at least 800AT, 7pm N&W, roaming included, M2M included, no more than $70/mo, $10 AAP ?

I know about the current, generally available $70 700AT shared plan... that is worse. I know about an old F&C $70 800AT plan but that is 9pm N&W, roaming NOT included.

Someone in another thread suggested that they had a 1000AT shared plan for $50/mo. What are the details on that ?

I was offered that plan last month. It was a F&C plan that was offered through retentions and it included roaming, 7pm nights, 2nd line free, and $10 AAPs. I would have taken it but I didn't like the overages being $0.40 a minute.

You know, we all could give you summaries of F&C plan that we've all had, which 60-80% are now expired in the system. If you check my recent threads, you can see my fun that I've been having. Really, all you can do is call in, and see what is still available. This is the best advice I can give you...

Really, all you can do is call in, and see what is still available. This is the best advice I can give you...Everytime I call retentions, I really want to know *exactly* what I'm going to be asking for ahead of time -- I find it works a lot better. Plus I really don't want to be calling retentions all that often.

Also, since what you actually get offer depends HEAVILY on the agent you get on the phone, it is really helpful to know what is possible regardless of who answers the phone...

So this $50/mo 1000AT $10AAP shared plan... It sounds very good as shared plans go... I hope its still available ... Anyone get it within the past week or so ?

So this $50/mo 1000AT $10AAP shared plan...

Sorry, not trying to derail, but what does AAP stand for?

So I called Retentions to try to solve my problem. Here is the story I got...

The choices in family/shared plans are apparently very limited right now.
The F&F shared plans are not available.

The old F&C 800AT $70 *is* still available, but it isn't very favorable: 9pm N&W.

The 1000AT $50 plan *is* available, but apparently not in all markets: The agent said that I couldn't get it.

Other than that, at least in the 800-1500AT range, there is only the standard plans (Power Pack): 700AT $70 or 1400AT $90.

So the guy offered me the standard 700AT $70 Power Plan and threw in 3 AAP's for free (well, recurring $30/mo credits). So the upshot is 700AT $70 for 5 lines... not too bad...
I could have also had the 1400AT $90 for 5 lines, but our usage isn't that high...

That's odd. I just renewed my our F&F shared plan ($70, 800AT) with three lines, and just added another line through Wirefly for an additional $10/month. All lines have 7pm NW, free m2m, long distance, etc. And, all lines are on Ensemble.

However, I do not have the free roaming like you stated that you have below (wasn't that important to me). I renewed AND added the extra line through ecare, ecare CHAT, and eventually Executive Services (ES when the extra phone from Wirefly came since, as you guessed it, Wirefly screwed up and opened up a whole NEW account instead of adding it to my existing F&F plan).

No mention was ever made from any of the CS reps that the codes were no longer there. However, because of Wirefly's screwup, ES had to step in to get the extra line added for the $10/month. Oh yeah, I've been on Ensemble for about the last two billing cycles.

I would keep on trying. The F&F plan is really hard to give up. Try calling ES to see if they can help out.

I just renewed per the plan below. 2-years. $800 credit. 3 new phones, free activation.

Try calling ES to see if they can help out.I actually did call ES, but that guy couldn't do it either... at least not after a couple days worth of trying. I think you're right that had I persisted, I probably could have eventually gotten the job done, and the ES guy was certainly willing to keep trying, but I was getting impatient, having the extra $70 plan on my account, etc., and when the retention agent offered a $30 continuing credit to cover the 3 AAP's, I took that instead. I know I am giving up the F&F feature and an extra 100 minutes, but that seems an okay trade for $30/mo credits. And I ended up with free data and text all around to boot, so not too bad...
