Since they have cancelled some of my discounts, I was looking to lower my bill.
After looking at my bill I noticed it showed evdo casual and it still lists my picture pack along with the new power vison pack. This is the old picture pack that is included with my friends and family plan. It includes unlimited picture mail and web usage. Since it lists this, I was wondering if I could cancel my power vison and just use vision to access the web. I rarely ever watch TV as it is pure garbage so I do not care about losing that.
Here is a picture of the listing

In spite of what it may show on that site when you click for details, it is only for the picturemail service. Vision / PowerVision include picturemail, picturemail does not include any data.
So, if you lost a free or discounted plan, you need to call sprint and get it straightened out. CS then account services and finally executive services would be the proper chain of command.
I see that your powervision bills out at $12.50? Is this the $25 version discounted to $12.50? If it is, you may have a hard time getting it discounted much more and have a suggestion of a $15 plan discounted to $5 or free.

the reason it shows 12.50 is becuase it is a second line. The other lines are just vision phones that get free vision data from the friends and family plan I have had for around 5 years now.
Yeah, with all the negative posts lately, I did not want to bother with calling. I used to have a great bill, but now its an ok bill that is about 30 bucks more than the old one.

Well I decided to try it. So far so good. I will post my results here when my new bill comes out in a few days.
When I unchecked the box, it errored but the power vision box went away. Then I got an email saying an unknown add on was removed from my account.

Just keep in mind that anything that uses data (including picture mail) will rack up casual usage charges.

Yeah, I will use it lightly and monitor my bill. It does not give me the option to add it back now. I hope I am good to go using the free vision plan.

What free vision plan are you referring to? Looking at the picture you posted, you were paying $12.50 (discounted pv ultimate). That is now gone and you have no data plan at all. The only thing that picture mail pack gets you is the ability to send / receive pictures. That's it. Even if you use your picture mail pack (which probably stayed included at no charge), they are going to slam you with casual data usage charges. Sending or receiving one picture can make your power vision plan look cheap. Anything you do that connects to the internet costs you money. It is a bad idea to go without a power vision plan especially when you know you are going to be using data. You will not be saving anything in the end...In fact, you will likely be spending more. I urge you to reconsider that decision and get a plan to cover you...If you don't, the good news is that the casual usage charges will max out at $75.00.

Got It! :)
Like you already mentioned, just check the bill and make sure that Ensemble bills it that way. I thought that even on plans where the add-on was grandfathered in, it would still show under add-ons.

Correct.
OP will have data charges on the next bill or whenever that data pack actually removes itself from the system.

I had the unlimited picture/video mail for $15, which included unlimited web & 100 texts. I upgraded to PowerVision in 11/07 when I got a new phone. Vibrate function failed 2 months later, so I had to send it to Sanyo. I got service put back on my 'Vision' phone but they wouldnt give me the same deal. I had to pay an extra $5 to get the texts. This was in-store, though, so maybe different than web or over the phone.

Yeah, you guys were right as usual. I started getting charged. When I tried to get back my ultimate PV they stated it would be $30. They said I could get the base plan for 15. I guess I should try for the $5 plan.

Stores don't have much ability to do anything other than what is listed in the Service & Plan Guide.

You could plead your case and *hope* that a sympathetic comes to the rescue. Otherwise, I would get the $15 plan on there to cover the charges going forward.
Good Luck! :fingers:

So if you have grandfathered vision and did an esn swap to a powervision phone like a Treo, would you lose the grandfathered vision?
