View Full Version : Keep Centro, trade for Pearl, or wait for Curve?

I just got off the phone with CS a few minutes ago, and they've flagged my account to make a swap of my Palm Centro in a Sprint Store. Seems I can't get my PRL updated to the most current one. CS keeps flagging my account, but *2 takes me back to CS, and they tell me to take to the store, and store tells me it can only be done over the air....so....

I almost feel like I may have a "get out of jail" card. While there are lots of things I love about my Centro, I must say I'm not feeling all fuzzy about the prospects of things improving. Still no GPS/aGPS, and the farther out we go, the more I think that's never going to happen. I bought a plain BT headset recently (not stereo, mind you), but found that I still couldn't play podcasts on Ptunes on it. Plus, I'm a fairly big guy (6' 3"), with big hands to match. The keys are pretty tough to use.

So, I'm wondering whether to swap it in for a Pearl, or hold off for the Curve? Just wondering if anyone could share their thoughts. I decided to post this here, rather than in the Palm section, as I'd rather get some objective opinions.

Thanks so much!

Well, I guess you can tell from my profile now that I decided to try the Pearl. So far I haven't been disappointed. Has been a great phone. Still trying to get used to SureType, but I think it'll be fine. I really love how small it is - and so much lighter than the Centro.

You know, I got to hold a Curve (albeit from AT&T) before I got the Pearl, and it just looked a little big to fit in my pocket. I'm still a little low on the learning curve, but with help from this forum, as well as Crackberry.com and blackberryforums.com, I'll be up and running smoothly!
