i recently got unlimited text messaging on my phone, but you see I am not very smart when it comes to phones or anything to the likes of it.

I was wondering does it cost extra to text someone from a different state and different carrier than my own?(Of course still in the continental USA) Or does it simply go with the unlimited text messaging it self? I would greatly love any help I recieve, thank you in advance.

Not Carrier, Not State, Yes Country.

I text Canada All the time and never get charged for it.

Hope this helps to answer your question.

Also I use 2500+ text per month and have never had an overage chrage, like Verizon does, on unlimited texting.

But texts sent to recipients who are roaming in other countries with US phones are included in unlimited (and expensive for the recipient).

CDMA equipment is .20 per international text.
iDEN equipment is included in unlimited text plans for international texts, although this may change at anytime.
One more benefit to having NEXTEL!
