First I take no credit for this I got this from PPCGEEKS.
To set it up--
Start - Settings - Connections - Connections (again) - Advanced - Select Network - New (The one on top) - Enter a name (I used call tones) - Modem - New - Enter Another name (again I used calltones) - Cellular Line - #777 in the field - Leave username, password, domain blank and then finish. Then go to proxy settings and check both boxes and enter 68.28.31.33.
Now you will see your new connection tap and hold onto it and then click connect. It will ask for username and password but just continue without it. Before hitting connect make sure there isnt another connection or internet explorer is open. After connecting dont close the current window just click on start and open internet explorer and go to vision.sprintpcs.com and in the search type in call tones. From there you can choose and set your calltones.
I purchased a calltone and it worked great!!! Again I got this from PPCGEEKS

Pretty good, although it kept telling me due to my account type I was not authorized to do this when I tried to search for a song. Of course I could still scroll through 5 at a time but how annoying is that?

settings > connections > dial up > new is where it is on the ace, i would assume the q9c would be the same unless they locked it down

^You probably need to need to make a new connection and then put the proxy ip.

you could try proxy but it probably wont work, it seems moto has limited the q9c in regards to making new connections.

they dont apply right away sometimes they can take a while to apply plus you do have to enable the calltone after purchasing it.

Very NIIIIICE. To stop the default from connecting I'd just delete it and then set it back up after I was done. It's too bad I don't use calltones =/

At first I was wondering WHY this would be needed. And it works no problem. But then I tried to access the "vision.sprintpcs.com" website from just the "sprint" default connection and the site comes up but all the links (and DOWNLOADS was not listed) just recycles back to the same page. Wierd. Why would sprint not allow PDA/Smartphone users access to the site and downloads???

that's because you have to keep the modem window open. after you click connect just click on start and open up internet explore and go to vision.sprintpcs.com

that's because you have to keep the modem window open. after you click connect just click on start and open up internet explore and go to vision.sprintpcs.com
That's what I was doing... I didn't minimize anything. It had the list of connections there then once I connected I saw it try to do something it would disconnect then say connecting to PCS Vision or whatever it is.

I didnt see the option to but I think Sprint use to offer it but I'm not sure. Unless tech support can disable.
