I have been using the message/email program that came on my Sprint Touch. It has been working very well.
Today, I can not log into my account. It lags on CONNECTING...and if it gets through, it lags on LOGGING IN. If it gets that far it returns me to the account set up screen and tells me to make sure my user name and password are ok.
I deleted the account and reset it, and it worked...once.
I called Sprint and the lady said that Yahoo was cracking down and not letting us use the phones this way in order for us to pay for their premium account.
I have a secondary yahoo account that works fine.
The lady said don't be surprised if this happens to all of my yahoo accounts.
I googled and never heard of this.
How can I get my dumb yahoo acount to work? It was great...and now...nothing. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Mikeinstlouis.

That sounds like a made-up response to me. If they didn't want to allow access, they wouldn't. It wouldn't partially work. Since it had been working for you until today, it's most likely a temporary problem. I would wait at least 24 hours and see if the problem clears up before trying anything more drastic.

I concur with bjn. You might want to do a soft reset on your Touch and then try access your Yahoo web email account from an overseas Yahoo website like Yahoo UK or Yahoo Australia if you really need access to your Yahoo web email from your Touch. This maybe a temporary solution until Yahoo web email is fixed.
I haven't tried this option myself, so if you do try it, please tell me if it works for you.
Cheers!

my touch phone and my ic902 hybrid wont connect to yahoo email
Hey mxtl,
I just went on my Mogul and Googled "Yahoo UK mobile" website. I clicked the appropriate search result which was ---> http://uk.m.yahoo.com
And guess what? I logged into to my US Yahoo web email account without any problems. "It was easy as getting a $25 Thai hooka", as one of my perverted friends sometimes say.
I'm not sure if your current situation is a problem with your Touch email app or if it's a Sprint internet problem. Call them and give them the above info if you can't get your Yahoo web email after following my easy directions.

I'm using the newest Sprint email software.
Have my gmail and yahoo setup and they are both still working perfectly.
Something similar used to happen with my a900 a few months ago, yahoo just stopped working completely. deleted it and setup a new acct and it started working again. haven't really had issues since.
with my m520 with the new software, I may get an error every once in a while went send/recieving but it tends to work fine the next time I try.

I guess it was a problem at Sprint's end, now it works great. I guess the lady at Sprint was pretty clueless...surprise surprise!
SprintUsers.com was created in January 2002 as a resource for users of Sprint PCS products and services to learn about and share information. We have cll phone reviews, Cellular Accessories, Downloads, PDA reviews, Ringtones, all of the latest Sprint PCS news and information, an area where you can find help in creating a ring tone or custom image for you phone, and so much more. The most popular section is the message board where visitors can read and write messages, ask questions, and get advice about their cellular phone from other users.
