Sprint Mobile Email Signature

I have my Gmail set up in SME and the push support works GREAT - my only complaint is that I can't figure out if there's a way to have my signature displayed on all of my replies. It displays just fine on the initial message, just not replies.

Is there another app that works as well with Gmail as SME does and doesn't drain the battery? I tried Chatter, but since it uses true IMAP IDLE instead of SMS-based send/receive, it hurt my battery life unnecessarily. I only get a couple of messages per day, but when I do get them, I'd prefer to receive them quickly... if I did a scheduled send/receive, I wouldn't want to do it any less often than every 1/2 hr.
