Date Timeout accessing Vision

Something interesting happened once I got to work today. I was unable to connect to the web from my Palm Centro. I get an error stating "Data Timeout," and the note "The page download could not be completed. Please try again later." This continued to occur for about 3 hours.

I contacted Sprint, and was quickly moved to 2nd level Technical Support, once they heard I had deleted my history, cleared cookie and cached information, and done a soft reset on the phone before calling in. They tried to reprovision my Vision connection to no avail, and even had me perform a hard reset (thank goodness for NVBackup, as good a program as there is out there!). A ticket has been sent to the analysts, and they hope to have it resolved within the next 36 to 51 hours. (We all know how THAT could go!)

I am currently in a Vision area, but have been told that EVDO would be coming (initially heard the 1st quarter of 2008, but you know how that goes, too! :rolleyes:). However, over the past month or so, I've had short periods (five to ten minutes), where I had an EVDO connection. I'm wondering if this is a sign that perhaps EVDO will be coming in the near future? Has anyone else had these similar problems, in the period where you were transitioning from a Vision area to a Power Vision area? This is probably just wishful thinking on my part that this could lead to fster web access, if I'm patient!

No, no error messages.

Did you get it fixed? I have been getting the same error for the last week. I will have to refresh the page three to six times before I may get the page to download and then it may pause during the download. I also noticed SprintTV will not work properly either. I cleared all my settings, cache, cookies, etc and did a hard reset also, but still has a problem. I do not believe it to be aconnection problem because programs like Handmark Express and Kinoma work great and download fast. My problem appears to be with the Blazer web browser. It has problems all the time with simple web pages like Sprints own vision website. I have had the phone for a month and the first three weeks were great. My wife has a Centro and goes to the same websites and does not get the error. soooooo... my Treo 650 worked better than this. Any help would be appreciated!
