8 years at sprint. My new wife is trying to switch me to AT&T. I stumbled accrossed this site when doing some research. I am trying hard to turn the tables & switch her to sprint!
Suggestions appreciated. She is trying to get me to change to a 3000 shared plan that includes blackberry service for both and costs $125. She was offered this because she is a long time AT & T customer.
current plan - Free & Clear - 1500 + 300 bonus minutes, 500 free texts, free roaming, nights & weekends at 7 pm $49.99
I could add her with the 99 unlimited plan. Are there better options through retention for a 2-3 phone plan than paying 99 + my $49 plan? The unlimited is overkill, I probably only need 3000 or so minutes. Or would I be better off signing her up seperately?

Welcome!
As far as Sprint is concerned, it's up to you if you want to do 2 individual plans on one account, or do a larger shared plan. Here is the latest retention family plans:
$60-1200
$65-1700 (I am switching to, but appears hard to find)
$85-2000 (old plan that has been given new life apparently)
$100-2500 (I dont know if this plan is still offered, but I had it)
All of these plans offer the 2nd line free, but still come with hefty overages .40 or .45.
Also, are there any other add-ons that Sprint can do for you that ATT might not offer, or give at a reduced price? (Internet, texts, earlier N/W, free unlimited incoming minutes)
I would say, your best bet would be to call the retention dept (*2 say cancel), and explain the plan you are considering switching to with ATT. This is the sole reason there is a retention dept. to save customers from the competition.
Good luck

Thanks for the input! What is a 1+ on the account? It would be great if they would match the plan I have for my wife. The 99 plan for her is a nice option & plan but that will not get us lower than here AT & T offer.

Hasn't worked out so well, and I thought it was all sorted out. 2 Retention reps promised me free blackberry service and an acceptable deal. When I called back to make the switch the rep said it was not possible. No record of the notes from my first conversation, even though she said it was noted & there would be no problem calling back to get the deal.
I'm fed up and may switch if they don't honor the original conversation. I like Sprint & would like to stay though.
