So I know using your phone as a modem requires charges..but what if you used it by connecting to the Network Connection through the option "Sprint PCS"? Does it still require any charges?

Yes, any data that is used outside the phone without PAM will charged. But I don't see how you can do that without PAM unless I am mistaken.

if you get caught doing it you can be charged per kb up to $75/month

theres ways to ensure that wont happen, and using the search function can help you locate that.

Yea because I haven't read anywhere where someone had a SERO plan and they got charged for PAM. But I did read that other people with SERO plans use PAM and never get charged for it. It does include "unlimited data".

yes your also using a mogul which really has no nai to speak of.

if you were to tether using say an a920 with nai still enabled you would get charged or at least get a letter warning you of such charges, then get charged

i got a letter 2yrs ago when i first got my a920 and before i discovered SU and NAI

unlimited data does not mean unlimited tethering.

i have free unlimited data on all my non sero lines but it doesnt include tethering.

"unlimited data does not mean unlimited tethering"

One of these days someone will get that big bill we all talk about.

To be safe, you should email/chat with e-care to see if you can do it.

are you talking about disabling NAI? if you use a treo, use a program called pdanet that masks it as well

nope using the mogul (and I really like it), I was planning to use the that wifi program someone made, but am afraid it has the same results as using the internet sharing option

it does as it uses internet sharing as its backbone.

yea I figured as much, even though its convenient, I suppose I can live without it, since I can just use my phone for most internet needs
