I still piggy-back on my parent's plan since the majority of people I call use Sprint. For whatever reason, my dad, an apparent god of dealing with customer service reps, has talked Sprint into giving everyone on our plan a free Power Vision pack. However, on my account, I have two listings on my account for Power Vision; "Sprint Power Vision Plus Pack" and "Sprint Unltd Power Vision Pack". Through my searching, I am unable to find an explanation of what extra services the unlimited power vision pack includes, if any. Has anyone heard of the unlimited power vision pack, and (more specifically), does it include the navigation pack?

This is what he said, right before he said he switched me over to the pv pack.

I did notice that now i have cnn adn us and a couple other channels on sprint tv that i didnt have, at least i think i didnt have lol.

The Vision pack can give a download speed of 50-70 Kbps where as a Power Vision pack cangive a download speed of 400-700 Kbps. Please note that high traffic can reduce the expected network speeds. Low traffic can enable users to reach the higher speeds. Power Vision pack also provides On Demand service which is not available in Vision plan. The Power Vision plan can only be added on EVDO capable handsets.

I have the "Sprint Unltd Power Vision Pack" and on my Diamond I am able to tether without registry hacks.

Others have confirmed that this plan comes with free PAM tethering as well. I also get basic SprintTV. Picturemail wasn't included, but after email they added it in for free.

I have not heard of any data plan that comes with free PAM. I have the $25 Ultimate Pack and was told by several CS reps that the only way to get PAM is to add it to either the $30 Pro Pack or the $30 Blackberry Data Pack and the charge is $15 a month with a 5GB limit.

Incorrect. There is no free PAM. You have to buy PAM.

You can USE some phones as modems on PV plans with no PAM without additional software (Connection Sharing on WinMo always works) however Sprint can tell you're doing it, and can do whatever they choose to do with you for breaking your TOS.

Mostly they do nothing.

On the Blackberry, instead of the $30 Personal Pack and $15 PAM addon, you DO have the option of doing the $39.99 Unl Power Vision/Blackberry pack. This gets you Unlimited Internet Access, BIS and BES access, and PAM access. However, it *Does Not* give Text Messaging, Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, ect. So while it may not be worth the tradeoff, it's a possibility.

The $25 Ultimate Pack I currently have includes Premium TV but I pay $5 for 300 texts. If I switch to the $30 Pro Pack it includes texts but I would have to pay $7.95 for Premium TV since it it not included in the Pro Pack. What is the best way to switch to the Pro Pack and get the Premium TV add-on for free since I would be paying an extra $15 for PAM? I'm a little reluctant to make any changes after reading about all the screwups that have happened after others have changed plans. The only discount I get now is a 20% employee discount and I don't want to lose that.

Not sure, as I'm not sure there is a free add on pack for Premium TV. (Keep in mind, I'm technical support. I'm not to hot on how the discounts work, since we don't handle them in my department)

While I have found an SOC code that gives premium tv, and shows as "included" I am pretty sure it requires you to be on the "Everything" plans for it to work. That is how I got it, I pulled the SOC while my account was mistakenly put on the "Everything Plus" plans. Needless to say when the rep fixed it back to normal SERO, they removed the "premium tv" SOC too.

Other than that, I have never seen one.

No, we have that same unld vision plan and it does include PAM. I asked like 3 or 4 reps and they all agreed. The unlimited plan on another phone has NAV.

I have the same code you have on my account. It does come with a built in PAM as part of the code. Of course the PAM is subject to the 5 GB limit policy. Picture mail is also included in the code. Just an FYI.

What does Unltd stand for, Unlimited? I have the Ultimate Pack ($25) and it does not include PAM. You can add PAM onto the Pro Pack ($30) for $15. I have never heard of the Unlimited Power Vision Pack. Where is this offered on the Sprint web site and what does it cost?

Sprint Power Vision Navigation Pack announced
Posted: 22-Mar-2007 [Source: Sprint]

[Sprint to offer TeleNav navigation app at no additional charge in select data packs providing full-featured GPS navigation on select Sprint phones.]

Overland Park, Kan -- Sprint customers soon will have the power of a new robust GPS-enabled navigation service included at no additional charge in select Sprint data packs. Sprint Navigation powered by TeleNav will give customers the power of a full-featured GPS navigation device right on select Sprint phones, and unlimited use of Sprint Navigation will be included in the new Sprint Power VisionSM Navigation Pack, along with two other existing data packs. In addition, Sprint customers who subscribe to other Sprint data packs will have access to Sprint Navigation for just $2.99 per day.

Whether a customer is a frequent traveler needing directions, likes to explore local restaurants and shops, or is looking for the lowest gas prices, Sprint Navigation will give customers the power to do all of these things in the palm of their hands. Sprint Navigation will include the following features:

* Voice-guided and on-screen turn-by-turn GPS-enabled driving directions, which speaks street names for each turn

* 3-D moving maps similar to an in-car navigation system or personal navigation device

* Real-time intelligent traffic alerts and one-click rerouting

* Local search with more than 10 million points of interest

* Lowest price gas finder

* Interactive voice response for destination entry by speech instead of text or phone number

* Pedestrian mode

* Spanish-language option

* Pre-trip planning site at www.sprint.com/navigation

"Sprint Navigation will provide flexible options for Sprint data customers to easily access the most complete GPS navigation service right on their phone, when and where they want to," said George Ranallo, director of wireless data applications for Sprint. "Whether subscribing to a data pack that offers unlimited access or using the service on a pay-per-day basis, customers will have the power to use Sprint Navigation in the way that best fits their needs."

The new Sprint Power Vision Navigation Pack will include unlimited use of Sprint Navigation, along with unlimited data access and Web browsing, Sprint Mobile Email, Sprint Picture Mail, Sprint Radio and Sprint TVSM, all for $20 per month.

Unlimited access to Sprint Navigation also will be included in the existing Sprint Power Vision Ultimate Pack and Sprint Power Vision Business Pack, both priced at $25 per month. All other Sprint Vision, Power Vision and PowerSource packs will include pay-per-day access to Sprint Navigation for $2.99 per 24-hour period of use.

Sprint Navigation will be available in April on most Power Vision phones, including the popular Motorola RAZR, Motorola KRZR and FUSIC by LG, as well as many Sprint Vision phones. Available Sprint Navigation features will vary by phone.

Sprint Unltd pack includes unlimited PV/DATA usage for the phone and unlimited PAM (well 5 gig cap). It does not include anything else, i.e. picturemail etc. This pack usually costs $40. As for the poster, it's a rare situation where you have 2 data packs on your line becuase usually the system will kick it out and won't let the rep add both data pack. The Sprint Unltd pack is the one you want since it has PV/PAM which is everything you could ask for.

PAM? Seriously? I don't want to call in cause ... well cause it's sprint, but I can't see PAM really being included in it.

Edit: I'm asking about the Included Sprint Power Vision pack, you're talking about the one you pay for I'm assuming, nm

is there anyway to get sprint to add the Pro Pack for free ? so it says included ? they offered me the sprint Pro Pack for both of my lines for $12.50 but then said the code is no longer available but it was noted on my account that this was offered to me, so they tried to give me the run around but i didnt give up so they added to pro pack both lines but it says $30 each line but they said that they added a discount code to my account that will subtract the rest of the amount so it adds up to $12.50 total for 2 line Pro Pack. Id rather have it show up $12.50 and included or even included for both. can this be done ? has anyone done this b4?

YankeeFan01, could please detail that? Maybe include a Sprint link that describes it?

I have the unlimited Sprint Power Vision Access Pack. They are telling me that I cannot get PAM with that. I have to first uprade to the Pro Pack ($30 instead of $15) before I can get PAM.

That mysteriously morphs a $15 PAM charge to a $30 PAM charge. Underhanded.

Greenland, how did you get the pro pack for 12.50 for 2 lines? I just tried to get unl. PV pack & then the pro pack for a reduced or free price & no deal. They said $ 30 for pro & $25 for unl pv or something like that /per line.
