Hi All,

I was speaking with a rep the other day about adding a fourth line to our account. We have three lines right now, all on old Free and Clear individual plans - two 1,000 minutes and one 150. With Pick 3 and Sprint To Home, we're actually using less than 1,000 minutes combined.

He made mention in our conversation that the older legacy plans were still avaialable as long as 'they were in the catolog'.

My question for the gang here is are there still some older unpublished plans out there for family plans? We feel like if we add a fourth line, then we'll need around 1,500 minutes.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate the assistance and advice...

Michael

Here are the family plans that were offered to me by retentions:

1000 mins for $50. Overage is $0.40 per mins. Retentions Power Pack

1500 mins for $89.99. Overage is $5 per 50 mins. Legacy Fair and Flexible

2200 mins for $109.99. Overage is $5 per 50 mins. Legacy Fair and Flexible

2500 mins for $115.99. Overage is $5 per 100 mins. Legacy Fair and Flexible. This plan has 9pm nights however. 7pm nights are $5 additional and 6pm nights are $10 additional.

All lines can share phones and the first add a phone is free. Each additional line is $10. They all include roaming, etc.

There are probably more but I was looking at around 1500-2500 minutes and I wanted fair and flexible. The $50 plan was a smoking deal but I would go over in minutes and I couldn't risk paying $0.40 a minute for overage. I've heard of some 3000-4500 minute Free and Clear plans also.

I'm trying to squeeze more information but it just seems like there is nothing out there. You can find a rep that can build a plan for you but I've heard that there are problems with that, especially during migration.

Depending on how nice the rep is, you can try to get one of the legacy F&F or F&C plans. What I did was a Google search on old legacy Sprint plans and I found the 2500 min F&F plan. I then called Sprint and asked the rep to check if it was still in the system. She said that she saw it and she gave it to me.

The other 3 plans that I posted were some of the others that she saw in the system too.
I should have asked about the 2000 min $85 or 2000 min $100 F&C plan but I'm scared of going over my minutes, especially a $0.40 a minute so I'm sticking with F&F.

Thanks Henry, you've been the most helpful out of everyone (at least to me) in the fam ret plan info dept. The F&F plans seem alot more expensive than the f&c plans (1200/60 v 1500/90?). I'm not all that worried about overages if I get the right plan, so personally a higher minute/less expensive would be better than the cheap overage buckets....

I'd hate to wait 6 months before my 'saved' note gets nullified and they can offer me a better plan. The last rep put I was going to cancel even though I wasn't, and now I'm screwed cause no one wants to help :(

I wonder if those notes get purged during the migration? Have you been migrated yet?

I've been told by multiple reps as well as read somewhere that yes notes get pz'ed out when migration occurs, however there is a way, if a serious issue arises, to go into your old account to review the notes, although i've been told this is a rare occurence. But yea for all intensive purposes when you get migrated you get a new account as indicated by a new accoutn number and your account is note free. Hope that helps.

Notes stay with the P2K account but it sounds like some notes come over to the new system. When I was migrated, I had a problem with 1 contract date not migrating correctly. I called in and was finally transferred to someone who took the time to find out who could access the old account - we were on the phone over an hour getting the date corrected. She had access to Ensemble but not P2K. If you know what date you were offered something in the notes, it helps them to find it. Good Luck

And Henry - that was a very ingenious way to find out about what was still in the system. I think that you were able to point the CSR to what you were looking for.

I have the $100 2500 minute F&C plan and it ported easily into ensemble. I believe one still might be able to get the $85 2000 minute plan.

Some quick answers for you.
1. MOST notes move over to the new account, we have a button that goes back to older notes. ( I was able to go 8 years back on one, we have notes from the time P2k/Premiere was used. Want to talk about loyalty, I met someone the other day, this was their SECOND migration, they were migrated to p2k over 10 years ago)
2. ALL notes are saved on a backup tool all CSR have access to, along with your plan details during conversion, and last 12 months of payment historya nd adjustment history, as well as all prior bills.
3. Historical !!!FAMILY!!! plans are still in the system for use of customers adding a line onto their EXSISTING historical plan. A customer is not supposed to be moved to a NEW historical family plan under any circumstance.

Oh man, I guess I got lucky because I just got this plan on Apr 1st. I've already had a couple of reps ask me how did I get this plan and tell me that I'm not supposed to get it and how lucky I am. One rep told me to never give it up.
