View Full Version : SERO ending as we know it

I just found out that all new SERO activations must be confirmed from the employee whose email you are using to sign up. No more @sprintemi.com addresses... but all employees have unlimited refferals. Now I understand why it is known as "Sprint Exclusive Refferal Offer". Has this new procedure affected anyone trying to sign up for SERO yet?

If you mean ending for those trying to scam their way in, then yeah, it's over.

I still think the information is bogus.

I still think this is bogus - as I have consulted a few of my friends who are higherups in Sprint. They haven't heard of it.

But who knows - the reason I posted this is to see if anyone else has experienced this.

If true, why is Sprint trying to keep SERO legit bogus?

within the past month a friend of mine had signed up for sero over the phone, not the website and all went well.

Seem like sprint employees now have a limit on how many people they can refer. This is the message I got when I had used tristan's email that she had posted on Buzzaboutwireless a while back.

Sorry! Our records indicate that the Sprint employee who extended this offer to you has reached their referral activation limit for the program.

For inquiries related to the referral limit, please have the referring Sprint employee send an email to SERO_Program@sprint.com from their sprint.com email address.

Thank You. :thought:

Do it by the book, we did and Sero is the best deal Sprint has ever had. It's worth the effort, hang in there people! :tu:

I'm not sure when this goes in to effect. I signed up for a SERO plan last week using name@boostmobile.com, and I didn't have any problems getting the plan.

First- Wow, I can't believe THAT email worked...

Second- watch your bill to make sure you got the Sero plan, I'd be worried that Sprint may catch up.

anyway good luck to ya and enjoy what ya got.:tu:

This thread started with one report from one person's "friend", being rebuffed by one CS rep. I think any of us here would have advised the OP's "friend" simply to call back and try to activate with a different rep.

My gut sense here is that this is not a new policy, but a misunderstanding by the CS rep, who confused SERO with the Employee Friends and Family plan. (That's not what it's called, but I can never remember the right name.)

That plan is limited in number of referrals and the employee is ultimately responsible for the bill. Because of that, the employee must confirm anyone trying to sign up under their name.

I would have to say this makes good sense. So this might be bogus

I let people use my work email address all the time for SERO accounts and I have never been contacted about it to 'verify' the information, etc. SERO referrals are unlimited and I have let quite a few people use my work email address...no one from work has ever contacted me about it.

If there was going to be a major SERO change, we would have received email about it, warning us that the change was going into effect. No one at work has received any email about the plan changing.

My nephew just received his new sero plan and phone yesterday. He had just signed up on sunday online and had no problems.

I signed my wife up using savings@sprintemi last Thursday with no issue.
