I currently have 1000 minutes ($50), unlimited blackberry powervision ($40), equipment protection ($7), 500 free txt messages and PAM included with the blackberry service. The total of my bill is is $97 pre-tax and credits and is $80post tax and credits.
I am thinking of switching and don't want to overlook anything.
The options:
a) I am considering switching to SERO 1250 / Unlimited Blackberry Pack/ Unlimited Txt messaging. From the looks of it I would be paying the same amount pre-tax ($50 + $40 + 7 ) but gain unlimited text messaging.
I believe I still will keep the PAM included but wanted to be sure. The threads that I have found usually talk about the $30 blackberry plan which does not include phone as modem.
b) SERO as above but with the $30 blackberry plan as I will be switching to the curve later this month - $87
c) Simple everything - $107 - this one doesn't make sense

Sero plans are not supposed to be discounted so you cannot count on the discount to bring down the cost. They may put it on but you could lose it in the future. Also BB service with Sero is hard to get set up right.
If all you are missing from your plan is unlimited texting, email eCare and ask them what a low cost method of increasing your text messaging would cost. Tell them that you are texting more and that you are interesting in upgrading the number of texts on your line. They may just offer you an unlimited plan for a good deal or even free. You could also try eChat on the website.
Changing your plan for 1 feature does not make sense because I get the impression everything else is working well for you. Good Luck.

eChatted with a rep and nothing was offered other than pay $10 for the unlimited access.
I guess I am deciding between scaling down to the $30 blackberry plan.
Am I understanding it right that if I go to the $30 plan I will gain unlimited text messaging, sprint navigation, sprint tv, unlimited data vs the $40 plan which gives me mainly phone as modem (which I can add for $15 and it may be discounted so I end up paying the same amount that I currently do--and I rarely use this feature).
Is vision (ie sending pictures an video) is included in both plans? the rep confirmed that vision is included in my current plan.

what phone do u have right now? do u plan on upgrading ur phone?
it is very difficult to switch to sero if u plan on keeping the same number or even same account.
yes with the promo $30 bb pack u gain unlimited text, unlimited data, 10 bb email accounts, sprint nav, and sprint tv......if.....your device supports this.
my wife has a bb pearl and we even have picmail on her account for free but as far as i know u cant picture message or send videos through mms...it all has to be sent via email from bb device to phone@provider.com
if i was u and u are ok with ur minutes not going over then i would try calling csr or retentions and tell them u would like to keep the same plan but change the blackberry pack to the $30 one which includes text messages...and ask if they would offer u pam at a discounted rate if they removed the 500 free texts from ur account. your bill would be either the same or 5-10 less a month. i wouldnt risk going to sero cuz i had sero and all my discounts stopped working this year and my bill went from $95 to $175 a month...i have since had my account fixed and im happy now. my bill is supposed to be $77 now
