blocking text message feature doesn't work

I blocked a couple of numbers yesterday from sprints site, because my girlfriend keeps getting text message from a person. She still got a text message from the number I blocked late last night. Does the system work for anyone? because it sure isn't working on my end.

I have blocked a few numbers through the site myself. One went through almost right away, but one took about two days before it stopped for some reason. I guess some numbers get delayed in the system for whatever reason....

I had a phone that had text messages blocked. Although none ever came through, I found that I was still charged for text messages. :(

Where on the site can you do this? I'd have a few numbers to put in myself....

In the "online tools" section of your account, there should be a "text messaging" link. From there, go to "settings & preferences" and you should be able to add numbers to a block list.

It doesnt seem to let you block them on site except for the main telephone number. I had to call customer service to have the numbers blocked on my 2nd line. Worked like a charm and a message is sent to the person letting them know they have been blocked from sending messages to that number.

That's because MySprint registrations are specific to a line, even if you are registered as an administrator.

A quick solution is to just turn off the text notification on your phone, that way your phone is still on and able to receive calls.

I've blocked two numbers and haven't been bothered by either since.

Create an account for each phone number. Log in as the desired line's account. Tada....
