So here's my situation, my plan is kick ass.. I wouldn't change it for the world, it includes everything with 1500 anytime and free international calling, which is quite rare even though I don't use it.. All for 30/month, but now I'm within my 6 month window, September 2nd is when my 2 year expires. I don't want to lose Sprint because I don't mind it, but I want incentive and since they really can't beat my plan I was wondering if they could get me the Blackberry Plan for free? Because 40/month or whatever it is seems retarded when I could stay with my 755P which does everything a BB does. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks SPRINTUSERS you guys are awesome!

Not gonna get a free BB plan, they do have the 30 dollar option with text, would save you ten from your quote. Blackberry plans just aren't given out as incentives.

So would they offer a 30/month credit to counteract the 30/month blackberry plan? I'm trying to figure out how I could possibly counteract, perhaps with a 15% loyalty and recurring 15 bucks a month or something.. Clearly with a new 2 year contract I should have the upperhand, I guess... :\ Thanks!

From what I understand, the reason the BB plan is expensive is because it's a service provided by RIM. With a BB you are able to use RIM's servers and that's why it costs more than Sprint's plans in the first place.

i would say your chances are slim to none. well maybe 5% chance of getting something worked out.
i was promised a free bb data pack if i bought a new bb phone. i was misinformed by sprint salesman and my wife wanted to keep her new phone. i was determined to not pay any extra for data and text that was already included with my sero plan so after 6 hours in phone calls to sprint retentions someone finally understood my situation and applied a bb data pack for no charge. it was included to my plan for free. however after noticing real slow speeds i discovered the pack he gave me didnt include evdo so i had to call retentions again. she said she couldnt find the right code for the plan i needed for free so she changed it to the 30 plan and gave me a 25 and 10 recurring credit for 2 years so in the end i not only get the correct bb data pack for free, i get and extra 5 bucks off each bill for the next 2 years...i figure in 2 years ill buy another phone, probably a non blackberry one. i think windows mobile 6 is just as good as blackberry if not better

Youre right, it really doesnt mean anything if you dont use it. Just dont let on that you dont use it. Counteracting with historic plans isnt a good idea becuase the only reason you recieved it is because its historic. You cant generally trade your features for something else.

Don't forget with the $30 BB plan you get Unlimited, DATA, TEXTING, TELENAV GPS. If you break it down it's actually a great plan. $15 for unlimited data, $10-15 for unlimited texting, and another $10 for Telenav. If you broke them up sep. they would cost over $35-40 bucks, and now you get them in all in one package, plus the BB push e-mail service which is great if your on the go.

I agree with you, however, do you blame me? What other phones do I have to choose from? I've had the palm treo for what seems like decades and its really getting boring. The samsung insight doesn't even look appeasing and the 800w looks like the same old palm failure. :(

Do I blame you? That's a weak answer.
Switch carriers if you are so bored with Sprint.

ok ok, I just got a 25% employee discount off per month, so if my bill is 100 bucks that should cover just about the whole BB Plan, now how do I qualify for the reoccurring extra minutes a month? my SERO 500 plan always goes over, thanks for the help!

switch to the 1250 sero plan....
yea I appreciate your attempt to help, but spending more money doesn't seem very appealing especially since I know how generous Sprint is when dealing with customers..

Look you have to pay for services to get them. You are already on a discounted plan via SERO.
If you want a BB you must pay for the BB data plan. Check the Blackberry FAQ for more details on the plans.
