They got rid of the money credit a while ago. Now they give 2 minutes as compensation.

The autovoice claire still should be the same but instead of giving you 50 cents off every time with the ensemble billing system whenever you get a dropped call the system will give you two minutes of airtime per dropped call when you call into star 2 and say credit for a dropped call.

If you've been doing this to get money off your bill that is why they stopped giving it.

Thanks

JTnet you probably just got converted over to the new billing system ensemble, I don't know why Clair is not there anymore because I am on enesemble and still get Clair when I dial *2.

Can you really blame them? IT was a silly practice.

Way too much abuse. I think in Ensemble you can get credits in 1 minute increments but thats it.

Just called *2 and said call credit. It said something which I don't remember. When I looked at my account at sprint.com and it shows that I have 2 minute worth of call credit. What does this do if you guys don't mind me asking.

This is a result to too many people using it as a reoccuring credit to lower thier bill. In laymens terms, "People were enhancing thier cheapness". In my opinion, it's long overdue! :D

How do the new call credits work? I have a Fair & Flex so I was wondering what's going to kick-in first once I go past my 800 minutes... if the next tier of F&F or the call credits... Normally no bonus minutes have ever worked on my account because of F&F... I was once given (without me knowing) 100 bonus minutes for a particular month but the plan just rolled over to the next F&F tier and on the bill I had 0 of 100 bonus minutes used...

Also, two years ago, a retention rep *really* tried to add the first incoming minute code to my account and came back to say it would not stick to my plan because of the F&F and the only way she could do it was if I switched to a Free & Clear (is that what they were called?) but to me F&F was more valuable than the first minute free, so I let that go...

So I'm wondering if it's worth anything reporting the dropped calls, other than letting Sprint know where the problems are, if they even look at that...

GIVE ME A BREAK. Pay your bill and shut up. Yours and others abuse of this legitimate good will practice Sprint had, likely lead them to remove it.

I have been with Sprint for 9 years, and like Sprint's competitors say, I have experienced numerous dropped calls. Have I ever called and griped? no.

I agree...even when I do really have dropped calls, I still don't do it

why? because when I pay $30 a month including tax for basically a sero 500 plan with 6pm nights, unlimited texts, and fimf......I feel that I am getting a pretty darn good deal

I understand what you're saying, and believe me if you are on here IN GENERAL, then you have a specific interest in anything Sprint. My point is, even if you have a plan with no discounts or perks of any kind, the "Dropped Call Credit" is for DROPPED CALLS, and not to be abused and schemed as a tool to cheat the system. If you really have a lot of dropped calls, and feel this should be used every time, then maybe you should try another carrier's coverage...

It was a loophole in their system that they fixed. We're here to take advantage of them when we see them. I mean are we all really SERO's?

Cheap people abusing sprint.

Good for sprint!!

Let me first say that
I do not abuse the call credit .

The economy is making the people poorer by the day.

In the defense of cheap folk around the globe.

The rise in gas, milk, diapers, taxes, etc etc etc .
Loop holes are not always a terrible thing.

Its a good thing to give bact........ right.

NO PUN INTENDED OF COURSE

so if the economy is bad...it is ok to defraud people? you can justify it any way you want...but in the end...it is defrauding Sprint

I don't understand why so many of you are so upset that many people took advantage of this. If sprint a million dollar cooperation is too stupid understand how dumb it is to have a system set up like this, why shouldn't the little guy take advantage of it.

Yeah I bet all of you whinning have all legal cds & dvds too!!!:eyeroll:

hush!

its over now!! somebody dug up an old thread from April 08 to say that he is moving away coz of no credits.. well.. first thing when they gave credits and other companies didnt.. it wasn't bad... becoz those days sprint really sucked and had more drop calls than other companies..

Sprint service has improved and reduced drop calls (compared to a couple yrs ago).. so sprint doesnt need to get jipped off $10 bucks every month.. still sprint is kind enuf to offer 40 free mins for 20 dropped calls. No other service does that..

For those guys who mis-used it.. they did it then.. if this is what made you to stick with sprint.. and now u gotta go.. wow Mr.real cheap guy.. Goodbye lets see what tricks you will learn with AT&T or VZW.. Good luck. We dont need you here.

And for someone who said no claire on the phone anymore.. if you dial 1800 sprint number from a non sprint phone.. she is still there waiting to talk to you.. ;)

i'm glad they changed the compensation method. leeches like some of the posters ruin it for the masses.

and for the person who said that he's gonna go for the iphone cause he's been with sprint too long, then bye! lets see if if AT&T will give you free perks like sprint...NOT! sucka! have fun paying more in the long run...all b/c of a phone that will be replaced AGAIN in another year.

As said here people were abusing it for $$ off their bill so now you get 2 mins. for a dropped call. That is what happens when people abuse things, sad to say there are a fair share out there that do.

I totally agree with the 2 minute thing, However, At one point I had 10 lines on a F&F 800 Family plan, All seconadry lines were free.

10 Lines X $10 in dropped call credit a month, on a bill that was already barely $100 a month anyway because of retention credits. The service really blew for a while for 7 out of 10 of the users on our circle. There were months were even though the issues were legit, I would tell the users to quit calling because we hadn't paid a bill in 4 months because of credits. I usally got a reply about why pay for ****ty service.

Now I have 8 lines on an unlimited F&C plan. Bill's about $250 a month. I kind of miss the $10 credits NOW that the bill is higher, and bonus minutes are pretty useless on an unlimited. if the dropped calls get that bad. I record the area's they are in and call in to CS/Tech Support and request a small $5.00 credit.

As for other companies. Verrizon won't give you a credit for dropped calls, They'll give you a new phone. Cuz the network will never have issues, it must be your phone. You can start with the free LG and work up to a voyager like I did.

Cingular will give bonus minutes, or cash credit. You have to ask. I've *****ed about the amount of dropped calls on Cingular/AT&T in the Chicagoland area for the past 3 months. It's HORRID! Sprint in 1998 when I joined them was more reliable!!

I called in today to get my credit. I got a $20.00 credit. I told them I was fed up with so many drop calls and I had my phone upgraded. So they were kind to do this for the past 3 months! LOL

If you use your phone for just call, the monthly charge is acceptable. Please use their other services, you will think another way. They take advantage on yours data plan
Also, Sprint is supported Korea economy.

I used to use the dropped call thing, but I eventually forgot about it. Besides, I don't use half the minutes in my plan so I don't really care if my call is dropped

laurkar2006
08-12-2008, 11:17 AM
I also do not use half the minutes in my plan so getting the extra minutes is not a big deal to me, I just like for them to know where the problem spots are so they can improve that area.

2 minutes comp, i havent done the call credit in a while, but will miss it when times are tuff.

laurkar2006
08-12-2008, 02:49 PM
It is good to use it when you do have dropped calls and not when times are tuff, that is why they give minutes and not $$ credit anymore. Or not to use just because you are low on minutes the whole idea is so they can learn where the weak spots are and they can work on those areas.
