What can I do???

I tried to log on to my Ebay account and I got a message that stated
my account is suspended because I'm associated with someone who violated Ebay's terms. Can they do this for real??? Does anyone have any suggestions?? I don't think its fair that my account is suspended because of somebody else's f**k up.

do you have multiple accounts? or share paypal accounts with someone? or live with someone who has an ebay account

Contact customer care and ask them why your account has been suspended. Make sure that you do not share a Pay Pal account with anyone else.

Well thanks for the reply, I talked to CS on the phone and they said that they believe that me and another user are the same person and I need to send in proof that I'm not (??????). I think its because I use the same computer as my friends and his ebay account is suspended. We don't live together, I just don't have internet connection at my house. I'm really disappointed in Ebay, they say they are trying to protect the ebay community, but I have done nothing wrong.

and they are, by sharing a computer with someone who is committing fraud or is suspected of it, you have opened yourself up to liability. think of it like this, that same roomy/friend/acquaintance takes your car out and does a hit-n-run then you get pulled over later, sure you didn't do it but you've allowed yourself to be associated with that crime. nothing against you, its probably a good lesson for you to just be more careful, I do hope it all works out.

There you go. Sorry but eBay does keep track of IP Addresses and/or Cache Cookies; as most sites do. They associate accounts with IP Addresses and/or Cookies. You'll need to start using a different computer to see if you can get back into ebay. Hope that helps! Good luck! :)
