Ok...
I overreacted to some frustration with the RAZR 2 last week and ordered a Samsung M520, which came today.
Yesterday, I had a chance to touch one of the M520's and I think the RAZR 2 feels more solid. So I'm stuck. I haven't opened the box the M520 shipped in yet and won't until I get a little feedback from you people, who seem to know a thing or two about phones.
I don't do a lot of text messages. I don't surf the web on the phone (that's what my laptop is for). I don't do email on the phone. I just talk.
Which one would you keep? The RAZR 2 or the M520? Whatever one I don't keep will likely go up on ebay.
I need to be a little less reactive with phones it seems. :icon_smil
Any thoughts?

I had the M520 and I traded it back in after a week for a Razr2. There is a bug with the M520. The phone does a ringer fade-in when calls come in. The ringer is quiet for like 4 seconds and then it gets loud. This also happens on other alerts as well (Text, Voicemail, Picturemail, etc). There is NO WAY to turn it off and it requires a firmware update to fix, which is not available yet. Just thought I'd pass this along.

I myself haven't owned any working version's of those 2 models but I do have the dummy/display version's of them. From what I've experienced the Samsung M520 look's and feel's like a better phone. Just my 2 cents of course! :)

If you don't mind the Moto's slow response time, they're typically great phones for talking. Nice loud ringers, and great reception/voice quality. Unfortunately that's where Moto high points end for me. I'm a Samsung fan, even with the occasional bugs.

Lets see, the razr2 worked on sprint radio for exactly 1.5 hours before it completely shut off the other day.
We opened at 12, I turned it on to listen to it, and at 1:30 it went off.
THAT alone is enough reason to throw it out the nearest window.
Gte the 520, or the Musiq.. both are a hella lot better than any garbage Moto pushes out their sphincter shaped door

I had a choice to get a V9m or 520 to replace my M1 and I decided to go with the V9m. The V9m feels more solid to me and the fade in ringer was one of the other reasons why I chose not to get the 520. I just got my V9m yesterday but I haven't noticed the lag that people complain about. I've noticed a fair share of Motorola haters on this site for some reason but I don't think they have anymore issues then any other manufacture. Being the phone junkie that I am I usually can't keep the same phone for more then 3 or 4 months. I still use my Q even after a year. I really don't remember ever having any major issues with any Motorola that I've owned and that goes way back to the star tech. lol
