It's for real, it was on my local news and I'm in Chicago. The price was only $20 at the time though... Too funny

Hey, I just thought of something... Hypothetically, say some genius does pay $200k for this thing... Wouldn't it suck if when the mail man delivered this thing that it got crushed and broken into many pieces of the state of IL?? LMAO! You'd have every city of IL all in one little envelope.... :D

Haha. Yeah that would suck. Hell you could drive it to the location and still be ahead lots of money. Or just fly it to them yourself.
I could only imagine opening the box and it was just crumbs lol

Ebay removed the listing because it is against ebay rules to sell food. They relisted it here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=110235071660&Category=1467&_trksid=p3907.m29), but this auction is for a coupon that you exchange for the corn flake.

I don't think I would have my buddies bid it that high. The fees to ebay would be over $3000 if it sold for $200000. The only way to get out of the fees is to report the winning bidder as a nonpaying bidder, not good for your buddies ebay rep.
Ebay fees
Equal to or over $1000.01
8.75% of the initial $25.00 ($2.19), plus 3.50% of the initial $25.01 - $1,000.00 ($34.12), plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance ($1000.01 - closing value)
First $25 would be $2.19
$25.01 to $1000 would be $34.12
$1000.01 to $200000 would be $2985
I would not be happy if my buddies bid it up that high.

Look up "Corn flakes" on ebay and look at the copy cats.
I even saw one that claims to look like a sock...
I guess the Feds are wrong about the US sliding into economic crisis when people can bid $200k of a single corn flake. LoL

There are sadly now millions of Americans all over the country dumping out their boxes of cornflakes looking for random shapes that slightly resemble anything...

A great way to get out of it is to insure it for 203k and ship it. If it gets "damaged" collect your 200k and let the buyer have back his money! The 3k goes to ebay.

Cuz when I wrote him about it, here's the reply I got back:
Dear akirason,
It was worth every penny I spent doing it then. I had more fun than you will know making them. Used caro syrup to attatch the flakes, have not had that much fun in a long time myself. Too much fun!!!!!!!!!!Thanks for the comment, CC
