How to clear ESN for Ebay?

I have two sprint phones and am thinking of selling one on Ebay. If I simply do an ESN swap to the phone I want to keep, does that mean the phone that's not in use has a clear ESN so I can put it on ebay?

Just want to make sure the buyer doesn't get it and can't activate it for some reason before putting it up.

Yup you should be good to go once it is no longer an active phone on your account.

do not give out the esn to anyone asking for it. they can put it on their account without having the phone. you can however give it to the person who won it after they pay for it if theyd like to check. what phone are you going to be listing?

well, theoretically, but what good would it do them? the phone would still have the original phone number, and it would still be physically in the original owner's possession.

It could do them quite a bit of good, actually. They could put it on their acct. w/insurance and then report the phone lost/stolen. They pay $50 for either a new or refurb model, and you're stuck with a phone w/a blocked ESN which can never be activated again.

That's fraud. Then you could report that person to Sprint and they would get in a lot of trouble.
