I've tried about 3 or 4 phones as my replacement for the Sanyo MM7500 I had for years. The V9M is about as good as I've found but someone recently told me that the Q9C is awesome. I was thinking about swapping for that one. However, i noticed it does not have picture mail. Is there any other way to recieve pics on the q9c? I thought about the Centro but I like GPS and their buttons are way too small. So should I stick with my V9M or is the Q9c all I heard it was? Thanks

the q9c can receive pic mails, it just cant natively send them, but you can e-mail pics to other people as well

Why don't they configure the Q (an some other smart phones) to use picture mail. I send pictures all the time with my Q by using Email but, it's hard for my Wife to get Email on her phone but she gets picture mail easily.
Does anyone have a hack to get Qs to use picture mail???

I prefer the Q9c over the V9M.
As for a hack....

I am interested in the amswers you get as I have had the v9m for a while and got the q9c last month but returned it 3 weeks later. I thought I liked the q9c but it locked up one time had to remove the battery, and had 2 friends trying to call me that had called many times and I never recieved even a missed call. (Was in the same place for9hrs, got a call or two and made calls so I had a good signal)

yeah i actually have had the q9c for a week and already like it much better than the v9m. there are def flaws, as old as it was, cannot find a phone that compares to my sanyo mm7500 but, what can you do? the v9m is waaaaayyy too slwo for me. i get so frustrated. it's like dealing with dial up internet. the q9c is a little slow but nothing compared to as slow as i feel the v9m. so i guess i go with the best of the worst? haha

Hi! I've been an LG and Samsung phone user for most of my Sprint life (~10 years). Now that I've purchased the Moto Q, I miss the embedded GPS-- especially since Telenav and Sprint want me to pay for a $99 GPS unit for the phone! Is there any kind of hack that makes the phone work for free GPS mobile apps?

I was TOLD that I had ordered a Q9c, but the battery case label reads "Moto Q." Do you have a hack for both-- in case I have the wrong phone?

Well no because the MOTO Q does NOT have GPS and the MOTO Q9c DOES so the only GPS hacks you can do are with the MOTO Q9c

Thanks for the explanation. I spent just over an hour this morning arguing with a Sprint representative over another operator's screwup. I was sent the wrong version of the phone (I ordered the Q9c) and overcharged for the purchase. The correct phone is in shipment to me now. I'll try the hacks after I get the Q9c. Thanks, to both of you for giving me a clue.

I had two Q9c's that had dust issues under the display after just a few weeks so I decided to return it. I used a touch, mogul, pearl, and just went back to the Q for now. The Q9C is nice but not all that much different then the Q. At first the Q had some issues but after a few updates it works great for me and being the phone junkie that I am I'm surprised I'm still using it after a year. I recently got a V9m which I use when I don't want to carry the Q. I know the krzr had a bad lag but I don't think the lag with the V9m is as bad as people make it out to be. I just like Moto's for the build/sound quality.

Now that I have the RIGHT phone, I am loving it! The Q9c has surprised me with its ease of use, easily workable GUI, and functionality. I thought I would be troubled by the shape of the extended-life battery, but the slight rise from the phone casing's surface actually gives me and ergonomic "comfort zone"-- less potential for slipping from my hands. I wish I could find a copy of Skyfire for the phone, though. I'm waiting (im)patiently for the 2nd beta.
