Dear Hank Steinbrenner,
I am a loyal member of what is called Red Sox Nation (RSN for short), and I would like to let you know we are for real. I voted for our President (All Hail President Remy). I would fight for the freedom of all of my fellow Red Sox Nation representatives. So when you say that "Red Sox Nation is a bunch of(expletive)" I take offense! I say you are a bunch of (expletive)!
We are here and we are real. We come in Millions...we come from coast to coast and country to country...we are everywhere...so before you start a fight with us again...remember this...WE LOVE OUR SOX....and will will live and die by the colors of red, blue and white (not just for the usa...but also for rsn). So dont come around here with your anti rsn speak...or you will have to watch your back...

Loyal RSN Member

As a Yankee fan, Hank is a dweeb. But for 50 years the Sox never won anything and its pretty funny how there was no Red Sox nation then. ESPN made the Red Sox nation when they ran a story on it when the Sox got into the Series.

Before the Sox finally staring winning, the Red Sox Nation was more like the Red Sox local knitting group that meets on Sunday afternoons!

Someone call. I saw the "B" in the sky and knew I was needed.
You know I always respected (hated him so much as well) G.S because when he spoke it was out of merit you know he had earned the right to speak by doing well. But the S***bag Hal hasn't done a single thing. What an idiot to say were not worried about the competition cause if he has been watching the past couple years he should be. The Yanks are essentially the same team as last year and thats NOT a good thing. They essentially have no starting pitching and an offense that if Arod got hurt would be ruined. So really Hal open your eyes and look around cause its not the Yanks of the old days were they were automtically gotta win you gotta earn it and right now you don't have the team to do that. C'mon this is like the Rays saying we are not worried about the completion. The ray and yanks are in the same exact position cause if your not first then your in last!! Nuff said in the words of T.O get ya :Popcorn2: ready

Funny pictures and the so called Red Sox Nation still will not get you 26 world championships! The Yankees are the biggest draw in the majors no matter where we play, the fans come and to see them.

I saw the story where the Red Sox Nation was having an election for their President. Maybe they should elect their former golden boy Roger Clemens. How quickly we forget he is a Red Sox and played with them more than any other team. I must admit however that Manny and Big Poppy don't take roids. I can tell by their 50 inch waistlines, :p

Wow 1986 is when the Red Sox Nation started? By then the Yankees had 20 world championships and were named the greatest sports franchise in history. I do remember 1986 though, thats when Buckner let a dribbling ground ball through his legs and gave the series to the Mets. I think the name came about with the headline Red Sox Nation cries as Buckner gives series away.

In regards to the Boston Globe. It really doesn't matter. The Boston Globe also had a book for sale about the Patriots. I think it was called 19-0, So much for their credibility. :frustrate

being a member of the nation doesnt mean that we have won the most championships...it just means we are loyal to your team...i am loyal member of the united states...but we havent won every battle...being a member of the nation means you know who your "brothers and sisters" are...and you can count on them to root for the sox when you cant...and back you up when you can!!!

Then I guess Yankee fans and Red Sox fans are the same. Because you are describing Yankee fans, thats why we draw 4 million at home every year and are the biggest draw on the road! :tu:

Thats why no matter where we play, you will always and always do see Yankee fans in the stands. I respect the Red Sox and their fans, but the Red Sox will never be the Yankees, and their fans will never reach the numbers or the loyality that Yankee fans show year after year for the last 100 years.

Sorry wrong, the Yankees haven't won since 2000. Their fans have filled the stadiums since then drawing 4 million a year, a major league record.
They are there because they are loyal fans supporting their local heroes, not because they have been winning. :tu:

Unfortunately the Red Sox constantly knock the Yankees but strive to be like the Yankees. They are envious of our loyality and successes, and try so hard to top the Yankees in all aspects. Unfortunately for them, the Red Sox will never be the NY Yankees no matter how hard they try.

Like I said I respect the Red Sox, but the franchise and fan following will never be as great and have the following that the NY Yankees have. :D

ok i think i should edit what i said...the red sox had fans for 86 years of losing...we dont have the mlb record for fans a year becasue our team is loyal to us in keeping a peice of history here. Fenway!!! i am not envious of the yankees never have been never will be...winning youve had it...but i am just a true hardcore sox fan...

as you said you respect the sox...i do respect certian aspects of the organization...but they do a lot of thats that i dont respect either...but i will leave it at that...because i believe that both sides have respectable traits and things thta are not to be respected...

There comes a time when that pieces of history have to go. They become outdated as Yankees stadium has. The Yankees are leaving the history there as a monument, with many parts of the Stadium becoming a museum to the mecca of baseball.

I respect your loyality to your team as I understand it completely. I will say this however. The Red Sox do exactly what the NY Yankees have done. The evidence is paying Dice K 26 million dollars to talk to him, and signing free agents like Schilling, and basiclly buying Beckett from a franchise that was cleaning house of high priced players.

Thats the present rules of the mlb and those franchises that do not try to improve their team are destined to fail. The problem I have with the Red Sox is that they make us out to be the evil empire, but their organization do the same things to win. There is very little difference from the Red Sox and the Yankees in what they do to win! Its all public relations trying to put a spin on the Yankees as the "evil empire." But thats cool our fans can live with the spin.:tu:

The pictures are childish, keep it to the stats of the game, give props to teams that put themselves out there week after week, no matter what the color of their jersey is. How many fans, both sox and yanks, are just jumping on the bandwagon. If you're a lifer, than respect, otherwise, keep it down. You can't be good for the past couple years and suddenly think you're the kings of the world. That's like the fat kid finally getting picked second to last to play ball and suddenly thinking he's the captain.

For those of you with valid arguments, true, we're a little down on our luck, but let's have a little history lesson shall we? (jk, i think we all know the story of the curse) If there's anyone who would understand what patience and loyalty can do for a team, it'd be sox fans, especially rsn'ers, true rsn'ers. Don't trip, we'll be back....

LMAO ~ Red Sox Classics on NESN now ~ Sox vs. Yankees 4/20/07
(which btw the Sox won!! ~ :wavey:
Sidenote: It was an extra special day for them to wear their St. Patrick's Day green:
"The Red Sox also wore this uniform on April 20, 2007 to honor former Boston Celtics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_Celtics) coach, general manager and president Red Auerbach (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Auerbach), who passed away during the previous off-season. The team was originally scheduled to wear the uniforms on April 12th, however this game was rained out. (It is in fact a coincidence that they wore the uniforms on the 95th anniversary of Fenway Park (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenway_Park).)"

P.S. Any Yankee fans remember this from '07 ?!?
4/20 - Red Sox 7, Yankees 6 (http://boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/2007_redsox_yankees/#apr20)
4/21 - Red Sox 7, Yankees 5 (http://boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/2007_redsox_yankees/#apr21)

So I'm a Mariners fan to the core. But when the Red Sox did what no team in any professional sport has ever done, and more importantly the Yankees became the first team in all sports history to blow a 3-0 series lead in the playoffs, I became an honerary member of Red Sox Nation.

My best friend is a die hard Red Sox fan- the first time his inlaws (or anyone) ever saw him with out his "B" hat on was at his wedding when I held it in my pocket to be immediately worn after the ceremony. Hank needs to pull his head out, these freaks are everywhere.

It really sucks that they are playing in Japan in screws the whole team up. Shorter spring training, long flights, just all around may screw the team up for a little bit. It was only a few years ago they were crying the blues like the Cubbie fans and now they are the greatest team of all time. Really time for them to get over themselves. Win 20 more World Championships and then do the talk!

Yankees Suck, they could win every world series from now until i die. And I will still live by the words, Yankees Suck.

And if we could please ask, what does that exactly mean? Yankees suck, I do not get the meaning of that statement? It can not be referring to their success since we won way over 20 more World Series than the Red Sox.

So other than a statement made from a jealous Red Sox fan, what exactly does that mean. It just sounds like something I hear from the kids when they are fighting amongst themselves.

But if you are using the word in the proper manner I will refer once again to how the Yankees suck:

Here once again is the definition of the word suck.

1 a: to draw (as liquid) into the mouth through a suction force produced by movements of the lips and tongue b: to draw something from or consume by such movements <suck an orange> <suck a lollipop> c: to apply the mouth to in order to or as if to suck out a liquid <sucked his burned finger>2 a: to draw by or as if by suction <when a receding wave sucks the sand from under your feet — Kenneth Brower> <inadvertently sucked into the…intrigue — Martin Levin> b: to take in and consume by or as if by suction <a vacuum cleaner sucking up dirt> <suck up a few beers> <opponents say that malls suck the life out of downtown areas — Michael Knight>

So I guess this is what you meant.

I will say it again,,,,,,,Yeah the Yankees do suck!

It fits because we certainly suck in and draw the fans all over the country to the parks, and the Yankees have sucked in 26 world championships.

well the Pats did have a perfect Regular Season Record.
And Celtics are showing you dont need a perfect season to be the Best.
You just have to beat the NY Knicks by almost 50 points...

It is such and honor being known as the evil empire. I truly enjoy the name. It just shows the fear that we install in the other teams. :bang:

Still a little too early in the season to make predictions......I wouldn't discredit the Rays this year....they have a very good team.
