Is there any way to add a weather plugin to the sprint layout. I like the sprint layout, it seperates text and email, adds the bluetooth plugin, etc.
I would love to have the weather in the right hand corner of the screen. To me that would be the perfect theme.

I have xCast setup on my q9c. Shows a one liner of the weather conditions at the bottom of my screen.

Is there a home screen that displays this info? If so, I could stand to have that so I can integrate the plugin.

You have to add a few lines of code to whatever home screen you wish to use (it will then parse the weather infomation to your home screen). You'll have to install mortscript, configure the xcast.ini (for your zip code, update frequency, etc), then run the Xcast.mscr file and it's done.
It's pretty easy, just sounds complex.

I was just going to modify the code for you. Honestly, I'm not willing to install a bunch of software I don't want to modify code.
Perhaps someone that is using xCast already can do the same thing for you.
Sorry.

I'm not following.. I don't need anything modified. I already have it installed and working. I was suggesting to the OP an option for weather on the home screen.

As I understood this, you have an application installed that displays the weather. I am assuming it has its own home screen where the weather displays, yet you want the Sprint home screen.
Having added a few plugins to the stock Sprint screen, I know how to do this.
However, I need to know the PID of the plugin in order to insert it into the Sprint home screen.
Did I miss your request?

I'm not requesting anything. Sminker (the person who started this thread), was asking for a weather type plugin for the home screen.
I responded, stating that there is XCast, but that it will require adding a few lines to the .xml (home screen) that you choose to use, in addition to changing your zipcode and update interval (in Xcast's INI file).

LOL. You're right. I apologize. I completely missed that I was chatting with someone else.
Sorry to waste your time. :frustrate:frustrate:frustrate

I've attached xcast. You'll need to get mortscript (I can attach that later if I can find it on my drive).
Theres already an xml in there that has it setup, but you'd need to copy whatever xml you want to use over to your computer and edit it.
