Thanks for the link. It was an amusing read. I like the chick's tenacity. After reading her long story from her eBay listing, I'd bid on her Mogul if I needed one. I completely believe her hilarious story how she got a free "PINK PALM CENTRO". I give her an "A" for effort in listing her Mogul on eBay! :hee:

I guess Sprint didn't like my original ad as it was pulled. Mainly due to the fact that my Title had "like new" in it. What I meant was that the item is in a condition similar to new, not that i was selling a phony cell phone similar to that hot new brand "New" that's selling like hotcakes.

If the paragraph above makes no sense, please just disregard it as the ramblings of a phone selling lunatic, but don't be afraid to bid anyway!

This is what happens when the need for instant gratification gets a girl in trouble.

Poor unsuspecting me is walking through the mall when the guy at the sprint kiosk sees my Sprint "mogul" clipped to my purse (clip and crystal clear case that fits OK included and part of the extras mentioned above) He's surprised to see someone else with a Mogul and shows me the new PINK PALM CENTRO. What the heck!! Does this dude have ESP? How on earth could he know that I'm a pink fanatic?

Of course I have 8 months to go on my contract and I don't want to pay full retail for this pretty pink baby.

So, i go on my not so merry way and not 2 minutes after leaving the mall and clipping my seatbelt, I'm dialing *2.

"hello sprint, i want the pretty baby pink centro!"

Really they couldn't care less. Ok, ma'am we'll get one out asap, it'll cost you about $400 plus tax.. Ummm, no, I don't want to pay retail, I want it free. I am still wondering why the girl hung up on me.

*2 again. Hello sprint, I want a free centro, how about I add a line of service? Well, sure they can do that, but then the new line will have a 2 year contract and the other 3 will be up in 8 months. Well, sprint, how does that work? If I want to cancel the other 3 at the end of 8 months, what happens to #4. They have no idea. So I inquire about upping my contract on all the lines to 2 years.

I'm put on hold (remember this tidbit, it becomes a theme)

Oh, ok, I can add years to my plan (which I should mention is a pretty darn good plan) and then pay $99 for the centro. WHAT??!!??

What don't they understand about FREE?

I tell them that in order to extend my plan I'll need new phones for all 4 lines for FREE and I want free texting and unlimited internet.

While the girl on the phone is trying to catch her breath from laughing so hard she puts me on hold. So I hold... and hold... and hold.... and then the line goes dead.

GRRRR... *2 Hello SPRINT, I want a supervisor!

I'm put back on hold, for 22 minutes!!

Hello customer, this is a supervisor. I tell her my long winded story about what I want and she puts me on hold to check the notes. 12 minutes later she comes back on to say that there are no notes. The last operator conveniently forgot notes.

Well, supervisor lady is very nice indeed and after 120 minutes she actually figures out a way to set up everything that I want. Including a new line of service, free phones, texts and internet. I can't believe my luck, could this be true or am I dreaming?

*2, hello sprint, cancel my contract! I don't care about a fee, I don't care about the darn pretty baby pink centro of my dreams, I just want to NEVER deal with your company again as long as I live. Well, or until you give me what I want.

What, did I say cancel? Is that like the magic word that makes sprint fall to its knees in fear?

Now I have THE most lovely lady on the line, who although she had me on hold for the better part of an hour on and off has accomplished exactly what was already promised to me. I have an order number, a date for delivery and a tiny piece of my sanity back. She tells me to try calling order support later for my tracking number on the phones. She also promises to call me the next day to make sure everything was OK. which she doesn't, of course.

So, of course I spend the rest of the afternoon researching my soon to arrive baby pink centro. It's features and applications, how it works and what it offers that is different from my Windows Mobile Mogul (yeah remember that, it's the reason why we're here together)

Later that evening I call sprint back. Goes something like this
*2, hello sprint order support department, I would like the tracking number for my pretty baby pink centro. Ma'am I see here on your account that your order was canceled because you didn't pay $9.98 for some B.S. charge.

That's when I fainted.

Please go back 5 paragraphs and re-read those sections, cause I pretty much had to re-live it when I finally came to.

Believe it or not, there is more to this story, but ever since my dealings with sprint I have gotten and stayed drunk just to keep my sanity somewhat intact, so I may have forgotten (or blocked) some details from my memory.

Long story longer.. I now have a pretty awesome HTC Mogul for sale.

**It comes complete with a crystal clear case (that fits just ok and one corner is loose, but it doesn't fall out), the clip that was sold with the case, 2 regular stylus, 2 ink pen stylus (or is it stylus's/stylii?), the 512 micro SD card that came with it, the original box and papers, an already installed screen protector, and the charger. If you'd like I'll leave a cute picture of my dog on the SD card, or possibly a pic of my pretty baby pink centro if you're really lucky (at no extra charge, of course)

I hope you've enjoyed this story at my expense, there is nothing more satisfying knowing that other people can take pleasure in my pain. If you really liked my story (and perhaps want to own a slightly used HTC Sprint Mogul that in excellent condition and works beautifully) please bid on my phone.

Just for giggles I'm starting the bidding a one penny with no reserve.

If you'd like, go check out my other auctions for the other phones that sprint so sweetly recently replaced for me.

Or if you prefer, get out a nice bottle of scotch, gin, whiskey, whatever, and ring up sprint yourself to see if you can find an easier way to get a Mogul.

For those of you who asked questions from the last ad, please note that...
1. The phone for sale does have a small scratch near the camera lens, not on it. This does not effect the camera at all.
