I bought an lg rumor through retentions (whatever the place that takes orders is called) it arrived Monday, read through the manual and it didn't give a specific time that it should be charged for initially, I charged it until the charge showed full, about 4 hours. over the next 2 days I sent maybe 100 texts and talked for about 10-15 minutes and it gave me the low battery needs charge warning today (Wednesday). I was wondering if this was the normal time that the battery should last under those conditions or if I should be expecting better battery life?

If it was to be a problem with the battery, could I go to a sprint store and have it looked at or would I have to deal with getting my phone fixed over the phone since it was bought over the phone?

2 days standby.. even after typing 100 text messages.. AND 10-15 mins Talktime?? wow!! thats excellent battery life.. I think.. I dont even know how much is the standby on my phone.. I have 3 batteries and 2 are constantly on charge in their spare phones.. while am using the 3rd and 4th.. but I talk more than a few hrs on the phone.. sometimes browse and text too..

batteries also dont reach maximim capacity for a week or 2 of use/charge. Don;t drainthe new batt completely either. LIon batts are not like nicads

And you probably got the phone thru telesales and not retentions. Only way you get retentions is if you threaten to cancel. Then they "hook you up" to stay.

For a sprint phone thats pretty good battery life, on my 6700 with some moderate use I kill the battery in a matter of Hours. my Blackjack II on AT&T however... I can easily talk for 5 hours a day on it and still have plenty of battery left on it.

so if I were to have a problem with the phone I would be able to have it serviced at a sprint store?

It doesn't sound like you have a problem here. Two days between charges is pretty darn good. :tu:
