I have looked through a number of threads regarding employee discounts, but have yet to find one that applies to those that work in education..
Is there a generic educators discount I should ask for, or one that applies to educators in K-12? I live in Oregon.

On sprint.com at the bottom of the page toward the middle, there is a link that says "Employee Discounts". Click it and it will take you thru the appropriate steps. My k12 discount was 23%.

It didn't "recognize" my email address.. wondering if discount might be under a public employees/ generic educator discount?

It did not have any trouble recognizing mine but I doubt they can possibly have all of them in there. Best to just give them a call. I do not think you will have any trouble having it added. be warned though, it IS a nuisance process. They close your account, change your billing cycle, and open a new one for you. Well worth it in the end though.

Just call and ask for the business general department and they can help you with that. I used to work in that department and if they can't find a discount specific to your school district, there is a generic one they can give you.

Your discount is likely not located under a specific school/school district. When you call care, I would explain to them that you are an educator for the State of Oregon in K-12 Education and they should be able to locate your discount from there and with that they will ask you what district and school you work for along with a work email address to send the discount confirmation once they confirm that you do indeed work for the State of Oregon as a K-12 Educator. They will submit the discount request and once approved, you will be sent an email to confirm.
