Is it safe to buy these? Like item #180210813596 There are a bunch of touches from different sellers at the 149.99 pricing. What do you guys think? I'm adding a new line to my plan and was thinking about doing this.

Well, I would get the ESN number for the phone and give Sprint a call to make sure it is a clean ESN before you buy the phone. We check ESN numbers for people all the time, it's no big deal. I just would hate to have you purchase a phone only to find out the ESN is useless...then you're stuck with a useless phone!

I can't vouch for the seller on ebay or the reduced price but at least clear the ESN first before purchasing.

The individual listing you posted looks legit. The seller's feedback looks good. I don't know about handing out SSN's and such to someone you can't physically see, but I guess that's the reality of today's world.

Yeah that was kinda scary to me. I don't see why they would need your social if you already have a sprint account. At the very least is it safe to give them my phone number with sprint?

Well if you need to get pre-approved for the listing, I think he'll be doing a credit check via your social.
