I just got of the phone with a Sprint Customer Service Rep after trying to cancel service and woul dfirst like to say that they spoke english, was polite, didn't hang up on me and was conscience about the well being of the company. After I explained politily that I hate AT&T but I would be stupid to not consider them since they are so agressivily courting customers to swtich, my rep told me that she would be able to solve my issues with sprint with this one phone call. It appears she did, I received this for a two year contract:

1,000 Anytime Minutes (Family Plan- 2 Lines)
Sprint to Sprint FREE
Nights starting at 6PM FREE
Sprint to Home FREE
500 Text on both lines FREE

$50.00 (less 23% corporat ediscount) = [SIZE="4"]$38.50 before taxes/fees

I trued to get unlimited text on both but she wanted $7.50 per line before 23% discount and IO also tried for loyalty discount becuase I have been with Sprint since 2001. She mentioned that I was already heavily discounted.

What do you think? Should I have asked for soemthing else or is this decent plan?

Also got new Katana DLX for $79.99 and no activation

Well, you have one of the higher NVP discounts at 23%, free N&W starting at 6pm, 500 texts, Sprint to home and you share 1000 minutes for less than $40 before fees and taxes. Considering a normal family plan starts higher with less minutes and a later N&W start, it looks as though you did well. Put it in perspective - my old family plan shared 800 minutes, no texts, and N&W starting at 9:00 for almost twice the cost of your plan.

If you are comparing your plan to another one you have read about on the forum - remember someone ALWAYS has a plan better than yours. You could try for some of the other options later if you are not satisfied with what retentions offered.

That is a good offer on the surface.

What gets lost on the forums at times is that the offer and its value must be rated on a person by person basis.

If you are getting everything you need in that offer, and you cannot find a competitor willing to match it then it is a good deal.

If you think you can find a better service to price ratio elsewhere, then it is not a good deal.

Coverage in your area, how many minutes/text you use all have to go into the equation.

The previous post is right, there are better offers but we as customers are extremely individual.

One reason why I stayed with Sprint over this decade and just signed another two year agreement is because they were willing to tailor a plan to me.

Of course there are better offers and worse offers out there, in my situation I cannot get a comparable offer from any other carrier so Sprint earned my loyalty for the next two years.

If you feel you are being dealt with in the same fair and personal way I was, then that is a good thing. Make the choice for yourself based on your needs.
