Ok my sister has 5 lines:

Hers (Treo 750)
Her Husband's (Upstage)
Her Mother in Law's (Basic phone)
Our Mom's (Basic phone)
and our Dad's (Basic phone)

She wants to have her and her husbands line with vision and texts and the other lines just basic calling.

She pays over $200 a month on all 5 lines.

The shared minutes are 2000.

I don't know too much about her plan but I just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone can help me out and see if there's a better route. She's been with Sprint for nearly a decade and she has her loyalty discount. Just wondering if there was a possibility for a lesser bill. Thanks in advanced!!

she could try the power pack 2100 with texting at 20.00 for the plan

You know, I think just asking for a discount might do it. The history is there and that definitely helps your cause.

Update: My sisters account - OLD

Basic plan - $149.99 for 3000 shared minutes
Add a line - $9.99 x 4
Unlimited texts for all lines - $20
Insurance on 2 lines - $14
Loyalty discount - 10%
Total - $200.66 before taxes and charges

Ok so I contacted retentions for my sister and gave them the "I'm thinking about cancelling because of the new charges" story. The guy helping me was quite pleasant.

I told him about how my bill was outrageous and I wanted him to help me find a lower route. He said, "Ok let me see what I can do."

After a few moments, he said "Well one thing I can do is put you on our 2100 minute plan. Right now, you're paying for 3000 minutes (mistakenly said 2000 in first post) at $149.99 and your monthly average doesn't even come close to 3000. 2100 minutes shared will be $109.99. Also what I can do is give you unlimited texting on all lines for $10. What I also can do is give you 50% off of all of your additional lines."

It started sounding really great! Anything to help in any way.

My sister has a treo and with no vision, it makes it kind of worthless. So he also threw in vision for free on my sister's treo and her husband's upstage. I asked him if Sprint got a notification of any kind about the "company discount" where your company email might save you a few bucks. He looked and said, "why yes it's going to be applied on your next month's bill." I asked him how much was the discount, he said "21%."

So I thanked him for everything he did and here's the new plan:

Basic plan - $109.99 for 2100 shared minutes
Add a line - $5 x 4
Unlimited texts for all lines - $10
FREE VISION
Insurance on 2 lines - $14
Loyalty discount - 10%
Company/Corporate Discount - 21%
Total - $109.49 before taxes and charges

a $91.17 savings... not bad for a 20 minute phone call huh?
