First let me say thanks for any help.

I just found this site a few days ago, and it's amazing. My contract is up in less than 2 months, and I want to switch to a SERO plan. I have sent ecare several emails, with no responces. I tried chatting with c.s. , and she gave me a number to call. I called, and she said I would have to sign up for SERO online, that it was for employee's only. I said I was referred, and she said no problem, but that when I activate my new phone, that's when I have to get someone to switch me to SERO. She is sending me the Touch tomorrow, my contract has been extended 2 yrs, and that when I call to activate tomorrow, they will put me on SERO, but that I will need a Sprint employee register name.

I am now worried, that they just extended my crappy contract, and I will have problems trying to get switched to SERO, and keep my same number. She said it will all work, but I'm worried she just said that to sell me the phone. My plan now is $45 a month, nights starting at 6, no text, no vision, no perks. Only 450 anytime mins.

Is there someone that works at sprint that could pm me your register name (?) or whatever I need to get SERO ???

I hope this all works out for me, and any help would be greatly appreciated. I have never had a phone like Touch (ppc). Only samsung flip phones. Am I gonna like this new type of phone ??? I am so confused about everything.:1zhelp:

I think you need to start reading the SERO forum (http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=120).

While you may be able to find a rep to switch you to SERO it's going to be a lot of calls and a lot of aggravation.

SERO is for new customers and existing customers adding a new line of service to their account. It can be ordered online or through a special number found on the SERO web site.

Just to update everyone on how everything went. I looked at my account online, and got real scared, because it showed that my current crappy plan, was renewed for 2 yrs. I called spint, and sent emails to ecare all day long. Ecare, and all the customer service people (including retentions), kept saying that I could not get SERO unless I signed up on the website. I kept saying that the lady selling me the phone, said I could transfer to SERO, and they kept saying I would need to send the phone back, and sign up on the website.

Finally I got through to some really nice girl, who kept trying to switch me to SERO, but said she couldn't get the codes to work. She said she would transfer me to someone who could do it. I thought, great, here I go again. But NO !!! The guy was really nice. He said, normally, for future refrence, SERO is only for new customers, and that I should have let my contract run out in 2 months, and then sign up for a new SERO account. But that since I had been given the runaround, he was going to switch me over, and that it will be in effect tomorrow !! Same number and all !!

So wish me luck,,, I pray tomorrow everything go's as planned. Plus I get my new Touch tomorrow. It cost me $350, but I will get a 100 mail in refund. I asked to have the refund added into the cost, they said no, but that they will give me a $50 credit to my account for being a customer for 9 yrs. I checked my account, and my balance went from 0 to $ - 370. Are they crediting me the full price of phone ??? And still get $100 rebate ??? It sounds too good to be true. I don't even care about the price of the phone much, I'm just excited to get switched to SERO, but if I get credited the whole amount of phone, dang, I'm never leaving Sprint. :headbang2

It's a temporary credit until your credit card is billed. You will not get the phone for free.

And good luck with the SERO switch. Sounds like you found someone nice willing to help even though it's not the way it should be done.

I would've asked to stay on a regular plan with all the benefits of SERO added onto your account, and then credited that same bill. That way you could utilize some corporate discounts if you had any.
